I've been using this product since I was in Japan. Some reviewers were suspecting this product could be counterfeit, but I don't think so. It is exactly the same product. This is one of the popular drugstore toners/facial lotions in Japan. My friends in Japan recommended it to me last time I was there. It's a big bottle. It's been over a year and I still have enough left for at least another month. It's nice that this can be used pretty liberally due to the amount that's in the bottle. My calligraphy teacher is from Japan and let us try this skin conditioner on chapped hands last winter because it’s not greasy or oily and doesn’t get on the paper where we are writing. She said in Japan a lot of women use it on their face. It’s surprisingly thin but it soaked into my skin immediately and felt really nice and clean. I have oily skin but have reached menopause and my skin still gets oily but I also gets dry or flaky areas from healing acne or using products to exfoliate etc. Currently I’m using this as a first step after washing my face both morning and night and it feels like my skins natural moisture, not sitting on the surface or affecting whatever products are used on top. Recently the skin on my legs was getting dry and itchy due to edema I had as a side effect to a medication and I even tried this skin conditioner on my legs. I still used a heavier lotion after but this product feels like your skin is drinking it up. I feel like taking a bath in this stuff-lol. I saw Ratzilla recommending the naturie moisturizing gel, then Amazon recommended this after I bought the moisturizing gel. Long story short, I finish my Muji Sensitive skin toner water high moisture and wanted something... well that doesn't require me a trip to Muji. I remember Ratzilla and naturie so I bought this instead.This is a 500ml bottle, it's HUGE. I mean HUGE! Initial purchase was $13 (+tax), Amazon notify me another seller is selling it for $10 so I bought another one. It's a great value compare to Muji's. It's $10 for 200ml in case you want to compare, and it's Muji's US website I'm referencing.Texture wise, it's light and smooth when I slap my face with it. A quarter size blob will soak in, or in my words, it'll dry after a good 5 seconds or slapping. There is no ity gritty when this is worked on the skin. After it dries, skin feels normal, not stick or tacky.Smell, I think it does has something, but can't really pin my finger on it. It's really (x10) light, barely noticeble.Moisturizing enough for my oily, acne prone, sensitive, dehydrated skin in humid/air conditioned summer of Boston. I think this will also work well for me in the winter, this feels exactly like high moisture water toner. I'll just top it with the moisturizing gel or Dramatically Difference Jel.Doesn't not break me out or clog pores. So far it hasn't, I hope it won't. I'd be super sad if it does...
