I had taken these vitamins for several years. I have a genetic mutation that doesn’t allow my body to process folic acid so I need something with activated folate. I was buying these same vitamins from a health store but Amazon’s was easier. I thought they were perfect... until the recent study came out showing the high levels of lead and other contaminates in them. It goes to show you can’t trust very much anymore. I hope that they take steps to rectify their heavy metal issues until then I wouldn’t suggest these to anyone, especially pregnant people! I have been taking these pretty consistently for 14 years (all the normal ones you get at the store made me sick and even vomit) and through 7 pregnancies and they were all totally healthy babies and growing into healthy children.On my last bottle, I too got the warning about lead being in the product. I couldn't believe anyone would have lead in vitamins so thought maybe it was the packaging? I then asked my kids if they were playing a joke on me, but no one put the sticker on it. So I looked it up and found an FDA study done on the lead content of vitamins and these vitamins leading their list. I don't trust the FDA much on anything but neither do I know much about lead except its bad for children. Is it a case of defaming a product? I can imagine that concentrated anything like vitamins are, may have its drawbacks. Any information on this would be helpful. When I ran out of prenatal vitamins and needed to find new ones, it turned into a harder task than I thought. I came to amazon in search of something that had the ingredients I was looking for and quickly came across these. I was a bit skeptical to order them because lets be honest, no new medicines are fun to try. I decided to order them anyway and I'm so glad I did. When they arrived I couldn't wait to open the bottle and 'check them out'. The pills are pretty average size for vitamins and even though I hate taking pills they aren't too bad. I absolutely love that there is no after taste with these like with my others and your not burping hours later, which is horrible when pregnant. Another amazing bonus is that they don't make me sick, or should I say any sicker than I normally am, which is amazing. As someone who is regularly sick(pregnancy) and has a sensitive stomach(non pregnant) it was so nice to find something with everything I needed in it that didn't make me sick. Now the one down fall of these is that these do not smell pleasant, at all. However as long as you don't smell into the container(like I did), you won't notice it. The price is very reasonable especially considering the larger bottle last a few months. I'm so glad I found these and they work well with me. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family and I will be reordering them when I do run out. This review is from my wife who took these vitamins throughout her whole pregnancy.I had extremely bad morning sickness my first trimester (threw up 5+ times a day).I tried multiple vitamins before this one, and they all made me extremely nauseous. This vitamin was recommended to me by a food nutritionist at my fitness center. She told me that this is the only vitamin that prevented her from getting sick and that she still takes them daily even after she had her baby. I took these all throughout my pregnancy even after my nausea subsided because I knew they worked. I was taking the regular Source of Life multi vitamin before getting pregnant so the switch over was easy. I liked that these are smaller pills than the normal multi vitamin. Doesnt upset my stomach. I was on the fence between 3 and 4 stars. I have used these prenatal tablets for most of my pregnancy. I've been happy with them- I feel good and have never had an upset stomach after taking them. I switched to them from gummies after researching more in depth into the nutrients and how they are formulated. These tablets have all food derived nutrients, not synthetic nutrients. I like that. There is only 18mg of Iron in these, 28mg is recomended when pregnant. I assume they figure you will pick up the rest in your diet but I found I needed to supplement with an additional iron tab to feel my best and not sluggish. Also, these do not contain DHA, so I've now added a separate DHA supplement. All of this equals 5+ pills a day. That's a bit of a lot to choke down, but on the other hand you can tailor what you take to what you need, or change something if one pill is making you feel sick. My main qualm is their size, they are sizable tablets and sometimes it's just too much to swallow with the others I need as well. Read more

I am very disappointed as the formula was changed. Folate and B12 are now present in their synthetic form (folic acid instead of methyltetrahydrofolate and cyanocobalamin instead of methylcobalamin)These 2 components in their natural form were the reason why I was buying this prenatal vitamin.
