Bought this for my mum as she was complaining about her nails easily breaking. I have chemo every 3 weeks as my prostate cancer has spread to my bones. I take a drug which takes calcium from my blood and boosts it to my bones. My calcium levels were way down, despite taking a supplement in my prescriptions. They advised me to take more calcium so I tried this. A bottle contains 60 tablets, but as you're meant to take two a day, that's only a month's supply. I only take one a day as I also take a vegan multi-vitamin supplement that has calcium in it. That, combined with these calcium tabs, plus the 'milk' I use, means I get enough. There is a warning that excessive consumption can have a laxative effect (!), which is why I stick to one a day. They are quite large (about the size of 'love heart' sweets for UK people), and chalky, but as I love that, it's fine. Read more
