I am a pharmacist (BA in chemistry and Doctorate in pharmacy) and I spent a TON of time researching prenatals. I mean a TON. I was on drug databases that I have access to at work, read through forums on baby websites and this prenatal is the best that I could come across. This prenatal vitamin (PNV) was the only brand that I could find that was USP certified- thus meaning, it passes a dissolution test which proves that the vitamins contained within the PNV will be available for your body to absorb and utilize for your potential or growing baby! The tablets are not too large where they are tough to swallow and they do not have an odor associated with them.I decided to get the formulation without the DHA because that product is not USP certified. I buy a separate liquid DHA/EPA supplement.I am a pharmacist for Walgreens and even with my employee discount these vitamins are cheaper on Amazon! Great product and I recommend to my patients when they are looking for a suggestion on a PNV. PNV can even be taken as a daily multi-vitamin. You do not have to be pregnant or trying to get pregnant! Funny story … my 28 year old granddaughter had these in her cabinet, so needless to say I had to ask her did she want to tell me anything?! No, not pregnant and she went on to say how good they were for your hair, nails and a lot of vitamins. This 71 year old Nana now has them in her cabinet. Read more

It would have been nice for them to include a list of accurate ingredients in the product discription. I ordered this only to see Gelatin on the label and found out that the source is pork from searching online. I returned it because I don’t consume pork products. Such a waste of my time! Could have been much smoother if they just had a list of ingredients on this page. Read more

I received these in the mail and noticed that there is a a weird typo on the label, so it made me slightly suspicious. I did however use them for a few weeks and when i reached in the bottle to grab a vitamin out, it was different than the other vitamins in the bottle. It was light pink instead of the light brown color that all of the other ones were. I'm not sure if the bottle was tampered with, but i do not feel comfortable taking anymore of these vitamins! My OBGYN recommended I start taking prenatals vitamins b/c we're planning on "trying" next year. She said it didn't really matter if we went cheap or expensive; they're generally all the same ingredients. So I researched a bunch of them and settled on these. I can't speak to any pregnancy-related benefits, as we're not there yet, but I have a ton of energy! I've been taking them for about 5-6 weeks now, and I've also stopped drinking coffee, but I feel very healthy and energetic. No bad side effects that I've noticed. Read more

When I became pregnant I did a ton of research about what prenatals to take and what should be in them. In my first trimester, I was taking Garden of Life Raw prenatals but I had to take three a day and it was difficult for me to keep track of, so I began looking for a one a day prenatal after reading that there really was not a difference in taking a vitamin 1x a day vs 3x a day. I'm so glad I found these vitamins-Here's what sold me: -They meet all the criteria for prenatal vitamins (according to What to Expect When You're Expecting/Mayo Clinic/WebMd)- very cost effective. Amazon by far has the best prices I have seen- only have to take 1x a day- digest easily/ no nausea from taking these-USP certified(tests for body's ability to actually absorb vitamins)I also take Nature's Bounty Fish oil ( contains DHA) in addition to these prenatals Read more

The pills are on the large side, but easy to swallow with my million other pills and tastes just fine. I take these because my gynecologist told me that girls who are athletic and get their periods should start taking prenatal vitamins to prevent deficiencies during menstruation. I do not feel much of a difference taking these beyond that they make me feel less sickly during that time of the month. Note that these do have the synthetic forms of folic acid, so if you have a history of spina bifida in your family, you should take methylated folate with this product to ensure you are actually getting folic acid for fetal developement/ personal nutrition. I was horrified when I learned what goes into vitamins! You want what's best for you, especially when you have a baby growing inside of you! I had a generic brand of prenatal vitamins then ended up tossing them when I saw the ingredients. These prenatals don't have any dye or anything like that. They don't have any taste and go down easy. I've also continued using them postpartum and throughout breastfeeding. I highly recommend you read what's on your vitamin label and get these! Read more

I didn’t use them. They have gelatin and is loaded with chemical i didn’t expect. Too late for returning so had to give to someone who didn’t mind all the chemicals and gelatin etc. don’t know how it worked on them. Wouldn’t recommend them without consulting a doctor. Read more
