Im beginning to really like Hyland products on my disabled son, he always had anxiety when I put him in bed to sleep he fights his sleep like nothing, he would stay up till 8 am then sleep all day, I would drag my you know what all day at work. so I have tried many things, I didn't want melatonin cause it actually doesn't help your serotonin to produce, it does the job itself which I don't want something that can be addictive nor synthetic I want something that would help his own serotonin to produce, and calm him, a this is it!!! calms him down, no more anxiety, and within like 20 minutes he is asleep(YEAAA!!) now momma is happy and getting sleep :) now the house is happy!! Hospice Cancer Patient: Sleep-- Where have you been these last 6 months? I should start by saying that I was introduced to Hyland's well over a decade ago for my kiddos. I rarely used anything but Hyland's to fix almost every ailment, and found them to be wonderful products, but had never considered them for adults. I was re-introduced to them for adults when I went to the pharmacist (something I seemed to be doing every other day) when I first arrived at my parents house to help take care of my father who has been in hospice this entire summer. I was told he had less than a month to live when I arrived. I am convinced had I not looked elsewhere for more natural healing supplements for pain (one that replaced 3 of his pain meds), a complete change in diet (mostly healthy including a big green juice/smoothie daily) and swapping out 3 of his prescription meds for Hyland's homeopathic tabs that he would have died in June.A few months ago, I asked the pharmacist if he had any non prescription drugs for Restless Leg Syndrome, he said yes, and asked if I had ever heard of Hyland's. I said, yes, I love Hyland's products, but I haven't used them in a decade. He told me his patients swear by them, so I picked up a bottle of Restful Leg tabs. They worked so well within a couple of days that I went back to the store to see if they had any Hyland's products to help him sleep. My father had tried Benadryl and 3 different hospice prescribed Rx drugs, including Trazadone, amitriptyline, one other Rx for sleep (all of them had terrible side effects including mental fog the entire next day--which made him a fall hazard and a zombie even at the lowest dose).I only saw Calm Forte, so I bought a bottle. It worked well for about two months (2 tabs before bed), but then it seemed to be waning last week. I also bought a bottle of Nerve Tonic, so I was able to switch out the hospice prescribed Ativan (Lorazepam) with the Nerve Tonic. It worked just as well without any of the horrible side effects that Ativan was doing (which knocked him out cold).Finally, I looked on Amazon to see what else Hyland's carried that CVS didn't and I found "Sleep". I figured why not, everything else I have given him from Hyland's has replaced the other Hospice prescribed drugs. I purchased the Sleep this week and immediately my dad said his sleeps are near perfect. I give him 3 to dissolve under his tongue 2 hours before bed. Now my father, a cancer patient, has restful sleeps, with no hangover or nightmares. I am so thankful I have found all of these products. I think Hyland's may have saved my father from the misery of the nasty side effects of all of these hospice meds, and whatever days God has granted him left on this earth, he will be more calm, more alert the following day (which helps regarding falls) and mostly, happier! I wake up regularly after falling asleep at night and experience what I call "Monkey Brain" where I start thinking of all kinds of things I could wait to think about when I'm actually up for the day. I recently got these but hadn't tried them yet, until this morning when I woke up to go to the bathroom at 3:00 am and then the brain did it's usual number of thinking of everything I want/need to do for the day. I decided to just take one tablet and see how that went since I like to get up early (around 7:00 am) even though I'm retired now. Wow...I don't even know when I fell back asleep (how long after waking), I just know that I fell back to sleep and slept very soundly until a few minutes before 7:00 and felt extremely rested. This was after experiencing the same wakefulness the day before and finally getting up at 5:00 am for the day since I couldn't get back to sleep. I LOVE Hylands products!! All of those I've used so far have been exceptional!This product ("Sleep") is tasteless & melts very quickly under your tongue with no gritty residue like some sublingual pills. It has all natural ingredients so it's not habit forming. The natural ingredients also help you have a "natural" sleep and doesn't leave you with that morning "hangover" that leaves you a zombie & stumbling through the first 3-4 vertical hours of theday, like most chemical based sleep aids usually do.BTW...I am also a long time customer of Hylands "Calms Forte" which helps me with my anxiety issues that sometimes are just overwhelming.
