Lutein and Zeaxanthin, found in fresh, deep green veggies like kale, spinach, and chard have been found to help protect against cataracts and macular degeneration, and lutein may help protect against clogging of the carotid arteries in the neck.Lutein and zeaxanthin are said to work by protecting your eyes from harmful high-energy light waves like ultraviolet rays in sunlight.No RDA has been set for either nutrient. However, some medical professionals have recommended 10 mg/day for lutein and 2 mg/day for zeaxanthin for eye health.This product has the highest amount of both for the lowest price, as far as I have researched. I went through one bottle, and am on my second - after researching products again.I trust the brand as I've used it before. So, yes I'd recommend it. No one sent me anything for this review.
