I have long been a proponent of using Neti pots. They help keep your nasal cavities clear of unwanted germs and definitely make you feel and breathe better. I’ve been using a neti pot for a long time, but they can be a little bit annoying, at least the “manual“ ones are. This machine makes it really easy. It’s a strange sensation, but not uncomfortable.I work for a tree removal company, so I usually return home from work with a bunch of “gunk“ in my nose. Sawdust, dirt, you name it… I literally use this thing every day. It makes it so easy to clear out your nose and breathe better.The directions could be better, mostly because of broken English, but it’s easy enough to figure out. Fill the tank, add the salt packets (this machine comes with a lot of them, but you can just use regular salt once they run out - just make sure you measure how much salt comes in one of these packets so you have the right proportions - my guess is about a teaspoon per full tank). Definitely fill up the tank all the way. It’s actually surprising how quickly it goes through all the water, but like I said before, not in an uncomfortable way. Cool device, really helps clean out nasal passage we have constant dust and allergens here, and stuffy / runny nose is miserable. The manual nose irrigation ones are hard to use and cumbersome, this is quick and easy, extend the metal hose, add warm water to the big tank, and add in a salt packet, spray away, this is almost like a huge water flosser (same concept), it takes a few tries to get used to the sensation but once you get the hang of it wow, nothing like breathing clear again!.The device comes with a 40 individual salt packets, and has two nostril attachments to fit various noses, they clip in and remove easily, and can rotate 360 degrees, The main device has 4 operation modes, I like to use it on Low mode, but it also has a Medium, High and a Pulse mode, which can help flush out stubborn material.I love how this unit is all self-contained to keep it sanitary, it features a cabinet on the back to store a tip, and when done, the reservoir goes slides over the main body, and then it has a cap for the bottom making a nice closed system (I suggest letting it dry out first before closing it up), it also includes a storage bag to keep it in., plus charges easily using USB-C and includes a cable, it does not include a charger though.Overall I recommend it, great device. When I was younger, I bought a "Neti" pot for nasal irrigation and loved it. As time went on though, the pot wore out, specifically it's coating. There was no way I was going to risk having coating fragments flushed through my nose, so I stopped using it. I've missed having it, but have been reluctant to try one of these electric irrigators for reasons I'll share below.I'm glad I did! There's a lot to like here, and I'm happy to say this doesn't cause problems! More on that in a bit.First off, I'm so glad this thing works! Yes, that seems ignorant to say in a review, but I have recently ordered a few water flossers that share the same design and components as this irrigator, and all of the flossers don't work! I'm glad to say this one has not given me any problems!I also like the fact that it came with several packets of pre-measured salt! Back when I had my Neti pot, I'd get careless with measuring the salt/water mix, and I suffered for it. These packets and the measuring line on the irrigator's tank remove a lot of guessing from preparing the saline mix!As for battery life, I'm still on the first charge, so I have no complaints there. I also find cleaning the irrigator's components quite easy.Back to my mention of "not causing problems" and reasons for not trying one of these electric irrigators sooner. A few years after I stopped using my Neti pot, I took on a job that saw me dipping components in a chemical solution as one of my tasks. Turns out I had a bad sensitivity to this solution, and I made the mistake of trying to tough it out. As a result, my sinuses and nose are very sensitive, and even blowing my nose firmly can cause a heavy nosebleed to this day, and I was restricted from that chemical years ago when I finally complained about it. As I saw these electric irrigators come out, I worried that using one would just end in my nose bleeding.Thanks to the pressure variation of this irrigator and consistency of the saline mix from the pre-measured packets, I say with great relief that so far, my nose has actually been for the better since I began using this irrigator! I'm on the tail end of allergy season here, and this irrigator has helped tremendously with keeping my allergies under control. A flush every couple of weeks on the low pressure setting, and I'm able to breathe easy, literally and figuratively speaking. I'm really happy with this irrigator and will keep using it as needed! I have serious nasal congestion issues, especially during allergy season, but had never tried nasal irrigation before. That changed when I got this unit. I was truly amazed at the relief I felt after getting the hang of it. I now use this device pretty regularly.It's reminiscent of the portable water flossing units that are available these days. There is a self-contained water tank, nozzles, and the motor unit, which is rechargeable. There are 4 speeds available: gentle, mild, pulse, and high. I started with the gentle mode to get the hang of it and then progressed to the mild mode. That one seems to fit my purposes for daily use. I've tried the pulse mode a couple of times when I felt particularly congested with decent results, but the gentle mode is the one I keep returning to.I really like the results I get with this device. At first it felt a bit odd as the water coursed up one nostril and out the other, but I got used to it fairly easily. Warm water is the key to comfort here. Included are saline mix packets to use in the water tank to help with loosening mucus as is a USB cord for recharging and a carry bag for travel.All in all, I like this device and find it really helps with nasal hygiene. It's worth a try if this mode of nasal cleansing appeals to you. Read more
