Ok literally these reviews are more confusing than anything.The product is unflavored and yes, smells weird, def wouldn’t say ‘disgusting’ or ‘gross’ but isn’t that what this product is advertising? Pure aminos? Eye roll. I was taken aback by the scent or lack thereof because of every other Fruit Punch or Watermelon product I’ve ordered prior to Naked.I’ve been having a tough time with muscle fatigue & recovery time so I drank this last night, added my own preferred water flavoring (stevia based) and immediately felt better. Insane. This product dissolves VERY quickly, doesn’t leave a funky aftertaste (please just add your own flavoring and if not, don’t complain about the ‘taste’ bc there it seriously isn’t advertised). Ok folks, so I've seen people review this complaining about the smell etc. To such comments it seems there seems to be a double standard - they want it to be 'naked', but then when naked isn't covered up they aren't happy with what 'naked' means. I agree that the product does not smell good, but I simply choose not to smell it - I hold my breath, open the container, add it to my drink shaker, put the lid back on, shake it up, drink it, rinse the shaker out and breath again - takes all of about 15 seconds & don't even smell it on my breath after drinking it. It has an unusual - although not bad after taste for a moment. After that I make a protein shake and don't think I taste any after taste after that.Anyway, if you want pure at least they appear to be true to their word, and I use it after my workouts without problem. Seems to be a good product. Happy workouts - 4/5 stars due to the ordor, but maybe it should be 5 since I'm getting exactly what I asked for without cover up. Read more

When you open up the jar, it definitely smells like ass and a chemistry lab. However the taste really isn't horrible at all. I use a zero calorie drink enhancer when I drink it and it's fine, I can't even smell it after I add it in the drink. Definitely has helped with soreness and recovery a lot. Just put it in something with a stronger taste, idk why people are trying to torture themselves and just take it with only water. Like I said, get a drink enhancer and make it as concentrated as you need to. Just chug that shit. Great product, definitely gonna buy again. Read more

Yeah, everyone’s right, this stuff stinks...so what? Sure, it’s a powerful stink, but it disappears the moment you add it to any liquid, leaving absolutely no flavor (that I can taste) at all.So, I’ve been using this steadily for a little over a month now, and I really think it’s a great product all around. I was regularly sore after intense workouts from my trainer, I mean nearly every day I’d see her. Since using this (along with Naked Creatine, which I also love), I’ve had only one instance of intense soreness post workout, and even then it was while I was also very sick with a sinus infection, so I’m sure my body not being well overall didn’t help with my recovery. I love that it’s flavorless, too, so on days I screw up and don’t add it to my preworkout protein shake, I can just toss it in a tiny amount of plain water (like half a cup tops) in a blender bottle and just chug it to get it inside my body. The cost for 100 servings can’t be beat, either. I’ll definitely repurchase this when I run out.As a side note, the stank can serve a purpose from time to time if need be. We visited CO a few weeks ago and found ourselves with a few extra treats we couldn’t finish while there, so we stashed them in the BCAAs just in case we were pulled over on the way home. Bought this product due to the "nothing to hide" philosophy of the company, vegan sourcing, and the only other ingredient besides BCAAs is sunflower lecithin (they claim only one ingredient). I really don't mind that it smells like feet and tastes even worse. My wife actually gagged and couldn't handle the flavor and the kids cringed when I added to their smoothies, but I would have gladly tolerated bad taste/smell for a quality product. Unfortunately, this product was anything but quality to me and I quickly learned that the company is all marketing.I was incredibly disappointed when I suffered a severe gluten-like reaction to their product. I was so trusting of the purity of this product that I took it a second time not believing the product could possibly cause any issues, given their gluten-free claims and natural sourcing claims. I lost muscle mass, had blood in my stool, brain fog, the whole shebang.Upon contact of the company, they refused to tell me their vegetarian source of their BCAAs! "Nothing to hide", except what their product comes from...This product really messed me up.I suggest you buy your BCAAs from a more honest company who doesn't advertise that they have nothing to hide, but most definitely has something to hide. Ok, I'm saying it worked. I think it works. Whenever I try to start a weight training program I always get derailed by muscle soreness. After I little research I decided to give this product a try. I mix it with some half and half ice tea lemonade mix at regular strength and find the BCAAs aren't noticeable at all in it. I consume within 30 minutes of completing a workout and find myself still sore, but not in a way that prevents me from comfortably lowering myself into a chair using my leg muscles, or having to slowing start walking after sitting for a spell because my muscles are that sore. I can lift my arms to do my hair without wincing. These were all tasks I had difficulty doing after the first two workouts of the program I started but after starting the BCAAS I don't get that sore anymore. Read more

The amount of people complaining about taste is absurd. This is an unsweetened, unflavoured, and uncoloured product. I.e. the cleanest and simplest form. If you don't want your BCAA's to smell like sweaty socks buy flavoured junk with all kinds of other additives to make it smell/taste better. This stuff smells this way for a reason, it's meant to be pure. I have found it to be excellent. Do I leave the jar open and fill my defuser with it, of course not, its not appealing, but mix it in with a shake or smoothie and your good to go. If you get this stuff to your door and complain about the smell or taste, you need to go go back to basics and read before hitting buy. Read more

It tastes a little bit bitter if you don't put much water. But with 500ml water, there is no taste at all. And for me, who drinks BCAA during the training, 500ml water is not a problem. If you want to drink it before or after the exercise, the taste could be a little bit unpleasant, but bearable.The same as other Naked products, beyond the taste, everything goes well. I got it instead of my usual AOR BCAA purchase. This has so much more and the same amount of BCAAs. I am very happy with my decision, as now I basically get to take it more often as needed.
