We have been using this for a while and it was great until today when my son (7 months old) was choking on it!!!!I’ve always thought I don’t let him sleep with it and I’m watching him so it should be safe.Well today he was on my bed happy with his pacifier. I was getting ready for church in the same room with him. Then minutes later he was choking on the metal part of this clip! I had to turn him over and gently get the clip out from his airway. I hate to leave a negative review before working out the issue with the company, but unfortunately there is no way for me to contact before just issuing a refund/return. This product is definitely not what I ordered - I ordered Cleo (Ash) which is grey-based, and I received a white product. Additionally, this doesn’t say Mushie on the wood clip part of the product like in the product pictures as well as other reviewer photos. This leads me to worry I received a knock-off product (and worry about the food-grade silicone being accurate, and the wood splintering - both concerning with this being something my child will be putting in his mouth). Being near the end of my pregnancy and not wanting to deal with a return, I’m pretty frustrated, and likely won’t be purchasing from Mushie or recommending their products to anyone, without purchasing in person. I’ve been using these maybe a couple times a week for a few hours each time. Had them for 6 months but have started using them these past 3 months when she started to really become mobile. I like that she can chew on the silicone beads but we had a scare the other day. I sat her down on her playmat with this clipped to her onesie, did dishes then looked over and she was playing with the wooden circle part of the clip... detached from the whole thing! I found the tiny screw so she didn’t swallow anything but this could have been a very serious situation. I didn’t realize these are meant to fall apart so easily. Read more

Mine came in broken. The wooden piece was almost broken into pieces by the next day. Huge hazard for babies especially if they are using these clips as tethers as well. I’ve bought many metal clips and loved them but these are terrible. I just bought him a bigger one from target and he actually loves using it as a tether. It only cost me $6 but surprisingly I thought it was soooo much better. Now I’m questioning the price on these clips. Not worth it at all. My child’s safety is more important than a fashionable looking clip that comes with risks. Read more

It’s cute though much smaller than anticipated HOWEVER it broke after 2 days. 15$ gone. I think that speaks about the quality don’t you? Initially I loved this pacifier clip. The color is beautiful. The clip is strong. The silicone doubles as a great teether option for my 6 month old. HOWEVER, after a short 10 min car ride to the store, I found that the pacifier clip had come untied from the string and my daughter had 3 wooden beads in her mouth when I went to get her out of her seat when we arrived!! Thankfully it wasn’t a longer car ride and she didn’t swallow or choke on the beads in that amount of time. I’m not sure how she managed to do it if there were the supposed extra knots added to keep the beads from coming off and becoming a choking hazard!! Mothers beware! Read more

I see this product everywhere: The clips are super popular and on-trend though I cannot help but wonder if they're safe. Like, I get the purpose but why beads? They seem small enough for a baby to pop into their mouth or shove up their nose should they come loose. Don't get me wrong, the product is well-constructed and seems quite durable but I just don't trust it. We are replacing it with a standard clip with wide fabric strap as it seems to pose less of a choking risk. Read more

The clasp broke and the beads fell off causing a choking hazard.This was so cute and I was SO excited about it for the 2 weeks I had it. I went to get my 5 month old out of her car seat when I noticed that the clasp broke and the beads were sliding off of the string. There was NO sign of wear and tear so I am unsure how it broke, but this is a huge choking hazard. I felt terrible about buying this product after seeing the beads sitting on her lap. There are other products similar to this where the beads are secure so they cannot fall off. If the clasp falls off and breaks , all of these beads come off causing a choking hazard!!! This product should be taken off the market ASAP because of this. Read more
