When we first purchased these we were happy with the quality right out of the package UNTIL we installed them.Once installed on our leather seats for a short period of time, as you can see by the photos, the “X” designs on the bottom of the seat “protector” left permanent “X” impressions in our brand new leather seats.I’m not sure how these work on cloth seats as I’ve never used them on cloth. They may be fine on cloth. BUT, on leather, they are a disaster and WILL destroy your seats.The concept of these are great but ultimately they are an epic fail to leather seats. Like many other reviewers (victims) with leather seats, they have also destroyed mine. NOT HAPPY. If you have leather seats, STAY AWAY from these! I really hope this helps with your decision. I purchased this cover to protect the seats in our expensive 2018 SUV. After 1 week of them being installed the horrible X design has stretched and depressed the leather. The purpose of these is to protect your interior and the design leads this to fail miserably. Our other SUV has had a car seat in it for 10 months without half of the stretching this has caused in 1 week. Stay clear of this product, particularly with leather interiors, and be suspect of all the positive reviews. Read more

DO NOT BUY BEFORE DOING YOUR RESEARCH. First of all I ended up returning this product. The problem was most, if not all car seat manufacturers, law enforcement agencies and child safety organizations do not reccomend using such a product, especially one like this that has rubberized non-skid pads. The reason is that they can interfere with the car seat being installed properly. It wasn't something that I thought of until I took my car and car seat to my local sherriff's office for a car seat safety class and inspection. When I returned home I looked it up and sure enough, virtually every manufacturer and organization recommends against using a product of this type. Look it up for your self. We have a 2021 Odyssey and thought we were doing to the right thing by protecting our investment. Well these were great until I took them off. Realized they 100% accomplished exactly what I was trying prevent, stretching and ruining of leather leading to further depreciation. Quality of material is irrelevant if it functionally doesn’t accomplish what it was marketed to do. If you put any pressure on these (which you must for safe car seat installation) they will destroy your leather. We have a 6 month old and a 2 yr old so the amount of weight is seemingly irrelevant in regard to the damage. Needless to say a $2 towel would have worked better. If you care about your investments then this product is not for you. If you want to keep Cheerios from getting into a seat crack while not caring about your investment then this is for you. I'll be throwing these away unless Brica would like to refund our money. The main (maybe the only) job of these is to protect our seats, and they did the opposite. See the attached picture.In hindsight, it seems obvious that the bottom of a seat protector should probably be flat, and the rubber pads that protrude are just asking to have your seats damaged. A massive puke happened while this was on the seat. I didn't think the puke went beyond the child's lap and the baby seat. Once I removed the seat there was a pretty decent amount slushing around on this seat protector. But none on my fancy premium leather seats!Regarding the printing/indentation onto the seats, yes, they leave a print. However within 24hrs the indentation was gone. I purchased this to protect my new Lexus seats from getting messed up from a car seat. I had this installed for 1 week on a trip to Florida. I moved the car seat over to a new spot and when I removed this, I was surprised to find out THIS thing left indentions in my seat!! What is the purpose of this thing if it also leaves indentions and stretches my leather seats?! Universally a car seat is one of them unless you put them in the trunk at which point you should be arrested. But most of us law abiding citizens use car seats. However if you have leather seats the car seat plus your child's weight will make quite the impression...on your car seat. While this protector does a good job preventing that, it leaves its own footprint. If you read other reviews, you'll see that is a main sticking point. While I'm sure the leather will eventually snap back, it is rather disconcerting. I will use a towel between the the rubber pads and the seat to prevent any possible seat damage.Outside of that caveat, I do recommend this protector. It sports a harder material than other seat protectors to protect the underlying seat. I had a retaining wall to capture crumbs, spills, and other debris from the messy tornado that is our kids. Easy to install and clean, this is a great addition to an arsenal against kids and their collateral damage. Read more
