AS I became seriously peeved at the cost of the Shiseido cotton pads I tried a bunch of others. While the ones I used for years by Rabbit (?) I think were no longer available I tried a bunch of others. I liked these just as well and found while there was a bit of difference in appearance in function they were as good as the more expensive brand name ones. I used them for applying toner and removing product both and found they fit the bill. No excess product soaked into the pad with the toner which is good as I want it on my face and not the pad. Be careful when putting toner on pad, as these don't absorb the liquid and hold it you will need far less. When removing facial creams, etc. I used them dry and found that depending on the amount to be removed one or two worked to get the job done. Perhaps when doing a full facial down I would need three but that was infrequent.A fraction of the price and functions just as well......I would recommend you try and see if they work for you as well. Long review for simple cotton squares...I purchased these solely for use as a wicking material for vaping with RTAs/RDAs. I measured the "premium" white cotton strips that came in one of those "7-in-1" coil kits, and discovered that if I cut these cotton squares into same-sized strips... I can get 6 strips from each square! That's ONE THOUSAND + wicks from ONE BAG of cotton! (1080 strips if 100% perfectly cut and no waste). That's more than 1 years worth of wicks even if I were to use a new wick every day, in a dual coil build!!! **Keep in mind however, the small size of these "6" strips I cut is intended for use with coils of a 2.5mm-3mm diameter, AND.. I use the strips WITHOUT peeling off the top & bottom layer.Your mileage may vary based on whether or not you peel off the outer layers, how much is wasted when you fluff, how large your coils are, etc etc etc. (I know it's personal preference, but I personally do NOT peel off the top & bottom layer, I see it as being wasteful. It's cotton, just the same stuff as the rest of the pads/strips... it's merely been compressed/matted down. Whether I take the time to peel off those layers, or take the time to carefully fluff those layers.. it requires about the same amount of time & effort).Brown vs white? Cotton is naturally this tan color with slightly dark spots/bumps in it. If it's white, it's been bleached with 'who-knows-what' chemicals, and just because it might be "sterile", that doesn't mean it's chemical free. Do you really want to inhale that, or rub it on your face? For vaping, I honestly prefer the taste of non-bleached cotton, but the difference between the two, to me, is very minimal anyways. One last thing... After cutting quite a few strips, I learned that scissors may not be ideal for this. Although my scissors are quite sharp, the nature of cutting something not-paper-thin,and fluffy like this... tends to make for uneven curved lines. I picked up a "rotary cutter", which are like razor thin & razor sharp pizza cutters... for fabric cutting. I compress the pads with a clean steel ruler (or wooden ruler with metal edge), use that as a guide for the cutter, and slice away! Each time I end up with near-perfect straight lines, but the cotton ends up being just a tiny bit compressed (& pinched together where it was cut), but it's a non-issue because of "fluffing" it anyways. I assumed these would be similar to Shiseido's facial cottons since they are both Japanese and both called the same. Also Muji is a brand I know and trust (and love). What makes these difficult to use is that they are raw-edged. It's hard to get a single one out without pulling it apart or taking two out, and it is likely to get cotton all over the place if you don't use it immediately and throw it out. They are also quite a bit smaller than I was expecting, although that's on me, the measurement it listed in the item description.I will use them up, since I purchased them, but they are very inconvenient, and in the future I'll just spend more money for the shiseido cottons. These cotton squares work excellent for watery toners and essences. I split each square into 2 pieces, otherwise I find it won't give up any product. It's like getting 380 pieces in one bag. Occasionally you can get a scratchy one because of the plant debris in each pad, but it's not that uncomfortable. Speaking of which, a lot of people are trashing these in the reviews because of the black dots and "dust" woven in the pads. That is what happens when you don't bleach cotton, you will still have pieces of the cotton plant in the product. Some batches will have more/less than others, but it's still there. I don't mind it at all, and it causes me next to no issues. Read more

I used to get this product all of the time (usually wasn’t prime or had to come in multipacks), but the last couple times it came via ‘Prime’ the quality was DRASTICALLY different. The cotton shed and stuck to my face, wasn’t as soft and durable as before. I was SO disappointed. I LOVED the natural cotton I used to get from Muji. It was truly amazing and I had thought I found a solid ‘gem.’ Sadly, I can’t trust it anymore after receiving such poor quality under their name. Read more

This was my first time purchasing this product and I finally understand what people in the reviewing section were talking about! Not only are they are incredibly absorbent and are great at removing makeup, they are more affordable than a lot of cotton pads at the drugstore as well. I normally buy the cotton pads at daiso because of the quality and affordability. These might seem more expensive up front, however, if you break it down by the number of pads and the price, the difference isn't that significance. Since I no longer live near a daiso, this is an amazing find! A must buy! :) Read more

I will literally never use any other cotton pad again in my life. First of all, these don't come off all over your face with lint. They don't fall apart and they actually peel apart in layers so one square can really go the distance. Other luxury cosmetic brands do fancy cotton pads but they're expensive AF and these are amazing AND reasonably priced. I order these in advance because my worst nightmare is running out and having to use something else. GOAT. Read more

These are meant for removing make up but can be used as cotton for vaping. I have to be honest. This bag will last a long time. They do the job but they lack longevity and flavour. I felt a small aftertaste. These are ideal for vapers who want a bargain product and are willing to compromise on some aspects. It's an amazing price so if you are unsure then give it a go. It may be to your taste. Arrived on time. Product as advertised Read more

These pads are excellent for wicking RTAs and RDAs. They’re brilliant. Some people complained about a cotton taste. But I’ve never had that and use these mainly for my dead rabbit and Pulse 24 squonk RDAs. The flavour is lovely and it’s so much easier to wick the coils. I drilliant bargain compared to the rubbish bacon wick you get a tiny bit for £6. This will last 40 times as long as the cotton bacon and cost me about £4:50 post free. I’m really happy and will order again but the ridiculous amount I’ve got may mean it might be for some time. Thank you. Read more

Still the best cotton for RTA's. I always use this for single and dual coil RTA use. Nothing seems to be able to match it for ease of use, wicking ability and flavour. Not to mention its a fraction of the price of other cotton. Read more

Used for e cigarette wicking. Enough to last a lifetime in bag for so little cash. No cotton taste and absorbs juice well. Can't believe why I paid so much in past for tiny packets of wick. Read more
