So I bought this product as a baby camera/house camera. I wanted to be able to utilize a stand alone monitor when I was in the house but have a remote access that would allow me to see the house/babys room when I am out out of the house. The cameras and monitor work great and are very easy to set up. The remote access is where I have problems. I have a Google OnHub router which is the newest technology (AC dual broadband signal) and great internet that averages 150 mbps download and 5.5 mbps upload. All of that said I cannot seem to get that cameras to stay connected to the network and consistently stream to the Hubble app. Idk if it's the App, the internet, the cameras, or the monitor. It appears that the monitor also has to be turned on in order to stream which isn't a problem but is another puzzle piece to diagnose. I may end up getting a amazon cloud camera or some other camera to remotely log into or I may return this one and try something else.Update...My report of the remote access was while I was setting it up and testing it in the house. Idk if it doesn't like being on the same network as the cameras or what but now that I am out of the house on business it works great. I can use the hubble app to stream the camera feed just fine. I bought this camera set before our second child was born and didn’t start using it until he was 2.5 months old and in his own crib and room. I had tested out the camera when we first got it and it seemed to work fine therefore I didn’t not see a need to return at the time. After beginning to use it severa months later, on day 4 of complete usage I noticed the battery wasn’t staying charged on the parent unit even when plugged up. Today on day 6 I realize that my wall plug is not staying in the port on the parent unit. It’s too late to return so I guess I’ll try and contact the seller for a replacement plug. It’s very frustrating because if it slides out during the night I don’t know it until the parent unit wakes me up with its loud alarm saying it’s out of battery. So frustrating! Read more
The cameras work ok, but the picture quality is very low and the App NEVER works. I have done everything possible to get the app to work continuously and it never will. It crashes every time it is opened and takes about 10 minutes of closing and reopening it just to check on my kid. And when it does come up, it's only a few seconds before it crashes again. The monitor only lasts about an hour before the battery dies and the adapter doesn't work unless held in just the right spot. This is ridiculous. This was bought before my kid was born and didn't need it until recently. I can even return the peice of crap because the window is closed for returns. It is a total waste of money as both methods of watching the cameras don't work. DO NOT BUY THIS!!! Read more
This worked for two days and stopped connecting to the cameras. My wifi was fine. We tried everything, it wouldn't work. For the two days it did work, the cameras had to be plugged in while in use, and yes, they had been fully charged. So I was limited to where I could put the camera. I do daycare and was really loooking forward to using this! But now it sits in a cabinet unused, $300 worth of trash. Read more
I was not very happy with this camera overall. The only nice thing was that we had 2 cameras so we could watch over both our girls from the same monitor but this monitor started giving out within just a few months of having it. Sound would go out, the picture would go blank and make a loud beeping noise to wake you even though your kids were soundly asleep. If you have a baby monitor you pretty much only want to be woke. Up if a child is awake not bc your monitor is constantly malfunctioning. Now a year out, it will only charge if you have the cord plugged in a very specific way. As much as I wanted to like this monitor, I truly didn’t like it all but my husband wanted it and purchased it. (Review written by C. Delaney ) Read more
We have had this monitor system for only 6 months but the problems began since the beginning. It was hard to connect our phones to the camera because it just wouldn’t connect. So I never got that working, but I decided to just use it for at home monitoring with the display. However, after a month of having this product - the charging cables started to randomly stop charging on the cameras and the parent device. So randomly the cameras in my babies’ rooms would cut off and I couldn’t see them and the parent monitor will not stay charged. Now I’m looking to buy another set of cameras/monitor and this one didn’t have a warranty. So I’m out $250. Read more
This is my second Motorola monitor- the first was great until one day (after only using for 16 months) it would no longer charge. This monitor doesn’t pick up sound as good and the battery life is the worst. Our old monitor would last 8+ hours without needing to be charged and this one might last 2 hours. Definitely considering returning since we have only not been using it for 3 weeks. Read more
I bought this monitor last year. When it works, which is rare, it is great. BUT, Within weeks the first camera stopped working. No worries, i swapped the other camera to the crib and just did without monitoring the play area. After a few weeks that one stopped working. It only works if the wire is draped over the top of the crib a certain way. The sound goes in and out constantly, and there is obviously a short in the monitor cord, because it goes dead pretty much every night. It stays plugged in and i am awakened constantly from low battery beeping. I have to fool with it usually several minutes to get it back charging. I contacted Motorola customer service months ago, and have yet to hear a response. Do not waste your time or money on this monitor! Read more
