First of all, I started using Modelones over a year ago and LOVE their products, cheap in price compared to everything else, but GREAT quality!Second of all, a lot of the bad reviews I saw seemed to only be bad because they didn't actually know how to use gel nail polish (user error)... So here's how to use gel nail polish.What You'll Need:1. UV/LED Curing Lamp/Light2. Nail File or Buffer3. Nail Primer4. Base Coat5. Gel Nail Polish (color is your choice)6. Top Coat7. UV Gel Cleansing TowelettesStep 1: File your nails with a nail file or buffer, dust off, then apply your Nail Primer.Step 2: Apply your Base Coat, cure for at least 60 seconds (picture of a UV/LED Curing Light attached, you HAVE to have this in order to use gel nail polish).Step 3: Apply your Gel Nail Polish, cure for at least 60 seconds, curing in between coats, if you need another coat (I only needed one coat for the red I used).Step 4: Apply your Top Coat, cure for the full 90 seconds.Step 5: If your gel nail polish doesn't claim to be "no-wipe" then you'll need to wipe them with UV Gel Cleansing Towelettes or they'll be tacky.Hope this helped! I’ve tried 5 of the 6 colors so far and I REALLY like them.The “diamond” one is a little too flashy/overly glittery for my liking, but overall the rest of the colors are great. They last at least 10 days, and are pretty easy (even for the novice) to carefully apply. The black and chameleon are the most difficult, but still not bad and worth it.The color-changing really does change colors easily, the magnet one needs a little finesse to get the right angle for each nail, but is easily applied, and the chameleon is very pretty and I’ve received quite a few compliments on it (although it’s VERY glittery rather than a mirror/shine color, and you really do NEED the black coat for it to really shine through!).All-in-all, the quality is very good and lasts at least 10 days (the longest I got was about 13 days, but I’m pretty harsh on my hands). The media could not be loaded.  Most of these are very good. The black is awesome. I needed it for a base for nail powders I had gotten and it works perfectly. The magnetic 3D cat eye is very pretty and could be used with one coat. It's very opaque and the magnetic affect is so cool! The rainbow gel is awesome and I love the holo effect. I did not have any luck with the phantom chameleon. Turned out horrible. The color changing gel does not change color. I tried dunking in ice water but still got no effect, however, it is a very pretty opalescent with glitter that changes from blue to pink in different light which is very nice on its own if that's what they had of marketed it as. I have not tried the diamond gel yet but I can tell it will definitely need a base coat color. Read more

This trio is absolute crap. I saw all the great reviews, and I fell for all of them. This seems like it’ll be the best base/top coat and it is NOT. I have done all my prep correctly, cured it for 90-120 seconds, and it PEELS off like wallpaper. Actually, no: wallpaper is harder to get off than this joke of a gel manicure. Nothing I do changes the fact that this stuff will chip/peel off within 2 days of doing your nails. I hate this trio SO MUCH. Do not waste your money and fall for all the reviews! Read more

I gave this set 4 stars instead of 5 because the black included isn’t opaque even after 2 coats, as you can see in the pic. All the others are lovely. The thermal color change, 2nd from right, is very good- it’s chilly so it’s all blue but turns a glittery white when warm. The multi-glitter 3rd from left is absolutely stunning but extremely thick so I just put one coat of it over a purple base. I would buy again. Read more

I have purchased multiple Modelones polishes. I love the thick consistency of the polish, and when I saw this Christmas set, I knew I wanted to try it.This is the first set I have gotten that has the wooden caps. I was a little worried that they would be hard to hold, especially in my non-dominant hand, but it wasn’t a problem at all. I especially appreciated the thick and wide brush that these polishes have. I can cover my fingers in just a couple strokes.The colors included are absolutely beautiful. I started off by trying out the glittery red jelly polish. Due to the jelly consistency, it took three coats to reach opacity. The red color wore fantastically for almost two weeks.Second, I tried the glittery gold/champagne color. This color looks amazing, and it easily covered in two coats. I’ve been wearing it for a week, and it still looks great. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments too.I haven’t tried any of the other colors yet, but I’m looking forward to doing some more Christmas looks as it gets closer to the holiday.This set is an excellent value, and does last a full two weeks with proper application. Really like these gel polish's it took me a couple tries to get the hang of working with the thickness of the thicker ones but I figured out that trying to make the Polish thin on the brush before applying leaves streaks and you really need a lot of the Polish on the brush for a smooth even application or you will need several coats leaving the nail too thick. I am a little sloppy and will need the nail latex to keep it off of my skin. But I absolutely love the color and once I learned how to apply it I really only need one coat of these colors. I've had these on for 2 weeks now and my toes have been painted with the color changing one for 3 1/2 weeks now with no chipping so it stays on pretty well Read more

The media could not be loaded.  I wasn’t expecting very much considering how cheap they are, but actually I can’t fault them! I’ve found the “galaxy” effect ones lift and peel quite quickly (a week or so) but I do wonder if that’s my application, I perhaps don’t cure the black long enough underneath because that seems to be damp underneath when they peel. The other colours though are actually really pretty, I couldn’t believe how effective the magnetic affect and the colour changing temperature gel were! Would definitely buy again. Read more

Absolutely thrilled about those. I really didn't think I would love it as much as I do. They are a bit thicker consistency but that doesn't change the quality and the coverage. The glitter one is quite thick more like gel and you have to know how to work with it but since I mostly use colour gels for me is like heaven. Really lovely colour selection and pigmentation. One of the gel polishes had leaked in the box but I spoke to customer services and they gave me a choice of replacement polish, I said to surprise me and they sent me multiple varnishes!I have used the black, glitter and chameleon ones with a different branded top and bottom coat. I love these polishes! They came packaged really well and had an instruction booklet that went into detail along with photos to ensure you use them all correctly. The thing I love about this set is how different each polish is, I am currently wearing the rainbow glitter and its beautiful with no signs of chipping 8 days later. The the cost of these polishes you can't go wrong! Excellent value for money and the little touches inside the pack make all the difference, I especially love the stickers where you put a bit of polish onto and cure it to stick on the bottle is a great touch as I have used these with other polishes however the good thing about Modelones polish is there is a little window on the back of each one so you can see the colour.
