This review reflects my own unbiased opinion and experience with the Moby VS the Baby K'Tan. I purchased both with my own money.Moby:Pros:-Instantly makes a crying baby go to sleep. Baby was very, very cozy in there.-Two side panels of newborn "hug" position allows to secure baby's head quite well against your chest. Better then the K'Tan can.-Because of the design and how you wrap it, baby ends up being very, very snug in there. Very well supported.-Very comfortable.Cons:-Suuuuuper long fabric does not make this a travel friendly wrap. If I wanted to take the baby to the store, I'd have to put the wrap on before leaving the house, then put baby in it once in the parking lot. The fabric is simply too long to don it in the parking lot.-Multiple fabric panels results in a very warm environment. I found baby had to be in a short sleeved onesie to maintain normal temp. This is in February, in Washington State, where it is chilly outside.-The long fabric design is also cumbersome when you want to put it on quickly at home (to soothe a screaming baby for example)Ultimately, I ended up purchasing a Baby K'Tan because i wanted something quicker and simpler to take on and off, and that was "put on in the parking lot" friendly. The K'Tan also makes my infant fall asleep very quickly. It is very easy to put on in under a minute but it is not as comfortable as my moby. Her head is not as well supported so I tend to have to keep one hand on her head if I am active while wearing it. I like that the K'Tan comes in Active and Breeze, which incorporates a mesh fabric that makes the whole thing a lot cooler to wear.Bottom line:Both are greatBoth put infant to sleep in very snug environmentMoby is more comfortable and I feel a bit more secure for baby, but a bigger pain to put on and not travel friendlyK'Tan is slightly less comfy, slightly less stable then the moby but compensates for that by being super convenient to put on and off.I will probably keep both, although I find myself using my K'Tan more. I'm a seasoned wrap wearer and I prefer a less stretchy wrap like this one. I wanted to love this wrap so much but the placement of the hideous safety tag was an absolute deal breaker for me. They seriously could have put this anywhere else on the wrap and it would have been fine but putting it on the end of the tail makes it very awkward to tie and visible while you're wearing it. I couldn't look past that design flaw. I have another brand of wrap wrap where they stitched it up higher so it just ends up being concealed in a part that wraps around your body and you never see it. Read more

I really wanted to love this wrap, but wrapping was too complicated and much too hard to adjust once you had the baby in the wrap. I didn’t feel like it was safe or comfortable for my baby unless I had wrapped it perfectly from the beginning. I wanted to breastfeed in it and wear it all day around the house without feeling like I had to constantly adjust. To adjust you really have to take it all the way off and put back on again, which is not realistic with an infant. For the record I watched several videos on wrapping, wore it for over a week, and consider myself fairly skilled at wrapping it. I returned and bought a K’tan - 1000 times better for secure baby wearing without all the fuss and constant concern of my babies hips and head flopping around and the rails loosening. Read more

We love this wrap!! As a plus size mom and dad we were worried this wouldn't work for our body types but I wear it with extra room and I am a size 20-22 and my husband wears this wrap as well and he is 6.2 and wears a 4-5XLT and we have a big baby he's currently 12lbs and 23 inches ! Read more

The Moby wrap has been very helpful with my newborn! My baby likes to be held a lot but as I also need my arms once in a while, I decided to try the Moby wrap. I was interested in this model because it has good reviews on multiple sites, can be adjusted for different body sizes so both my husband and I can wear it, and it’s suitable for a newborn (many of the backpack style carriers have a higher weight limit.) The wrap isn’t that hard to figure out; just watch the video and try it a couple times and you’ll be good to go. When my daughter is getting fussy I pop her in and she usually falls asleep within minutes. She’s sleeping in it as I write this review! Downsides - it seems to stretch out as she’s wearing it so she eventually droops further down and I have to keep adjusting it. And if you take your baby out you can’t really just put her back in, you have to re-wrap. Overall I like this wrap - it’s been a lifesaver! Read more

I wanted to try a wrap to carry my newborn since I would be at home with her frequently by myself once my husband goes back to work. This had really good reviews and I liked the leopard print! I wanted to be able to do little things around the house and my grad school work online, especially since she ONLY wants to be held these days. The paper instructions it came with was okay- I had to You Tube it and try it a couple times w my husband, but it was easy once I figured out how to use it. I washed it according to directions and it washed well! I’ve only used it a couple times so far but I love it! And baby girl seems to like it, too!! Read more

Overall these wraps are really comfy however, it is worth noting that it can be complicated to get the fit right. Sometimes we have been a bit rushed with a crying baby or we have just not been paying close attention and we've made it too tight or too loose, and both of which are uncomfortable. So, consistency can be an issue. This model is also not as long as the older model. I liked the extra slack on the old model it added an extra wrap around and made it feel more stable. But I will say the extra slack made it a little more difficult to get on quickly. So many things to take into account if you want to use these wraps regularly. I recommend maybe alternating two different wraps ( ring slings, back pack, woven wraps ) and figuring out what works best for you! Read more

Great way to get my baby to settle, and really handy when she doesn't want to be put down but I've got stuff I need to be doing. I can't wear it for long as I start to get back pain, which I don't experience with the structured Ergobaby carrier we have. No matter how tight I tie it, it always seems to give way a little as I wear it and baby shifts down my chest slightly after 15 or 20 minutes. I sometimes wear it to pop to the shops and back, but have mainly worn it in the house. If you have to take it off and re-tie it out and about it's not the easiest, and the long lengths will almost certainly drag on the floor. I wasn't able to master breastfeeding in it, but to be fair I didn't really give it that much effort. Read more

Love this, one of the best baby products we bought and have used it everyday in and around the house but also out and about. Has helped sooth our baby when she has struggled during difficult times in the night. Easy to put on after you have done it once or twice. My husband and I can wear it and enjoy wearing. As a side note also love the colour Read more

I bought this wrap to wear my 3-month old baby, weighing around 6 kgs and it is very comfortable, holds well, and baby loves it, too. He falls asleep in it within minutes if he is close to his naptime, otherwise he is happy riding in it and looking around. I usually support his neck with my hand when he's asleep and I'm walking with a good pace. Otherwise hands free. Excellent quality fabric, very comfortable to wear and baby loves it as well. The length is good enough for larger sizes as well. I have tried different wraps before, which were mostly 95% cotton and 5% spandex, but this 100% cotton fabric seems to be the right material for the purpose. I probably wouldn't use it in a very hot climate, but it is quite suitable for the 20-25 degrees we're having now. Read more

Love this wrap. Found it easy to put on after watching YouTube tutorials. Nice fabric and sturdy. Gets 4 stars because it’s a bit thicker than others so it can get quite warm but now the weathers getting cooler that’s good for me. I also think it should come with a bag. Most of the cheaper bands come with a bag so I think this should too. Read more

This is a brilliant wrap, I had the close one with my last child, and i've currently got two baby bjorn ones (original and comfort). My baby was too heavy in the original from 1 month!! it hurt my shoulders, but he was too young for the comfort, so I purchased this and to my amazement its better than the baby bjorns. My baby has reflux so really helps and he sleeps in it for hours. It is so easy to put on and my baby is now 15 weeks gets excited when he sees me put it on. He feels much lighter in this as the weight is distrubused evenly. The higher up he is the more secure and lighter he feels too. I only wish i had this for my daughter rather than the close one Read more
