I love mixed chicks been using it for years I do use 3 other products in my hair to get it like this but mixed chicks is the base the others are sprays which I attached a picture of.My regimen:-spray the coconut oil to get through my hair when wet-lather my hair evenly with the mixed chicks-spray the black vanilla leave in conditioner-flip hair upside down and scrunch while spraying Aragon oil of Morocco- I let mine air dry never use a diffuser or anythingThis isn’t a paid review I just know how long I struggled to find a good mix to control my curls and thought I’d save someone else the money and time of finding a great combo! I have naturally curly, frizzy, dry hair. I love having curly hair because it gives me the versatility to style it whichever way I want. However, the curls can sometimes be quite stubborn and frizz up throughout the day. I've tried TONS of products. Any curly haired gal finds their own "recipe" of combined hair products that works for their hair.I've read a lot of great things about Mixed Chick products and decided to give it a try. I purchased the leave in conditioner and absolutely loved it.The conditioner has a nice scent to it. Not too overpowering like some other stuff I've tried. It is quite thick, so make sure to thoroughly comb it through your hair.I do believe it works on any type or texture of curly hair. I put some of the leave in conditioner immediately after washing my hair. I comb it through my hair to get an even distribution throughout my hair. Afterwards, I apply my other styling products to it (curly styling gel and some spritz for a hold). I diffuse my hair to enhance my curls and add extra bounce. Mixed chicks does dry a little crunchy because it makes the curls hold. However, once your hair is completely dry, it will soften up on it's own. I like to add a little Argan oil in my hair to add a little softened and extra shine. Remember, a little goes a long way.I will definitely purchase other items from Mixed Chicks. I have a 5 y/o daughter with really thick curly hair, that goes all the way down to her lower back. On the curl chart she is amixture of 3a, and 4c for those familiar with the curl chart. This product has been a complete game changer, I’m able to brush her hair with no pain to her, brush through smoothly! She also has very sensitive skin, and we’ve tried so many products and mixed chicks is the first product that doesn’t make her scalp itch as well!! I bought this product first at Target as a sample/travel sized bottle. I really liked how it left my hair feeling and looking. I haven’t found a bigger sized bottle anywhere so I tried Amazon and to my greatest astonishment I found it here. I don’t know why I was astonished because Amazon pretty much has everything I’ve been looking for that I usually cannot find anywhere else. I am so glad I found this product in a bigger sized bottle because this product is awesome. I recommend it to any woman with curly hair of any type and texture. 2c/2a curly hair but very thin and low density. I'm a mixed-raced person as well if that matters (White/Asian/Black). I've used this product for about 3-4 months now. I LOVE it! I get the exact curl I like with no frizz. Definitely will repurchase when I run out.My routine is as follows - In the shower I use Deva Curl Low Poo, Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner, Deva Curl Conditioner (rinse not leave in). After the shower, I plop my hair for 15 minutes (wrap in a cotton tshirt NOT a towel). Then I use about a nickel sized amount of the Mixed Chicks Leave In conditioner. Finally, I squish squish squish my hair with my hands every several minutes until dry. Perfect every time!Its important to note I have thin, low density hair which affects the amount of product I use. The directions say to use large amounts, but again, I use about a nickel size and its enough for my hair type. I tested using a large amount--it weighed down my hair and looked greasy on 2nd day hair. Though my curls were seriously frizz-free. Just had no volume at all. I'm sure large amounts work for thick course hair people but definitely not for me!In conclusion, I very much love this product and love my no frizz curls! Read more

I love this product! Was turned onto it by another Jewfro girl and use it every time I wash my hair. It holds my curl without frizz or feeling crunchy. Just a dab will do you! One bottle can last me over half a year, and I have long hair. Love this. People misunderstand the name. It's not for mixed chicks, it's meant for any color of skin with curly hair. I use it by itself and it keeps my hair tame. I have severe heat damaged hair so I'm using this to get my hair healthy again in lieu of straightening every day. Read more

Love this leave in conditioner!!! I wash my hair once a week and use this religiously. Its rich, feels greasy when you put it in but doesn't leave the hair oily, just moisturised and healthy shiny.I apply to dripping wet hair and squish to condiah until my hair has drunk the product. After I apply cantu curl activator and style with my denman brush. Fantasticly defined curls that last all week!It's hard to squeeze the product out so I leave the bottle upside down for ease.Not the cheapest but although I use a lot, it seems to take a lo g time to go through the 300ml bottle. After spending a lot of money on trial and error I’ve once again come back to mixed chicks. It’s absolutely brilliant. I highly recommend this for frizzy, wavy, curly, thick and thin hair. I’ve even curled my own (naturally straight) hair and used mixed chicks in stead of hair spray. Just to lightly hold the curls. My daughters hair is very dry but this product is the only one that doesn’t dry it out further or leave build up in her hair. Leaves her hair looking healthy wavy and natural. The first time I used this leave in I used it with no other product and was blown away by the way my hair responded. I now use it with the mixed chicks cream and the combo works really nicely in giving me lovely curls.
