Every single sunscreen I’ve ever tried has broken me out- except this one. It keeps my face more matte than any mattifying primer I’ve used too. I still get greasy and have to use oil blotting sheets several times a day, but this still helps some with it. UNLIKE every other BS “mattifying” product I’ve tried. Estée Lauder Double Wear and Double Wear Light foundations work beautifully with this, as does Lancome Teint Idole Ultra. And Maybelline Fit Me! Matte and Poreless. It smells nice when you put it on and the smell fades very quickly. I have not gotten even a slight burn while wearing this, and it does not irritate my rosacea in the slightest. This is seriously the most wonderful sunscreen in the world. It’s like magic. I no longer have any desire whatsoever to keep looking for a HG sunscreen. I’ve found it. If your skin is sensitive, acne-prone, or if you have rosacea, this is worth a try. Oh, also, my skin HATES silicones. I mean hates them- we’re talking massive pimples within a couple hours of application. But this is so soothing, it actually calms any inflammation that I have going on down a bit, and no clogged pores or cystic breakouts. I don’t know how they did it, but this is amazing. Read more
This product is probably going to be great for people with normal to oily skin, but I have very dry skin, and this sun screen completely dried me out. It felt like my skin was tugging at me all day and made my forehead look very crumbly. I tried it by itself and with makeup on, and both times I felt very dry. I might try mixing it with one of my face oils to see if it helps. It does leave your skin very soft and matte though. It just isnt great for people with dry skin. If you have normal to oily skin I would really reccomend this. It doesnt leave you feeling any kind of oil on your face and it also stays completely matte. Read more
Saying my skin hated this product would be an understatement. I honestly don't know what I was thinking when got this, I'm usually way more attentive to the ingredients of my products, but that's what I get for shopping online at 3 AM.Ingredients: (the box is terribly hard to read)Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Silica, Zinc Oxide, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Lauryl PEG-10 Tris[Trimethylsiloxy]Silylethyl Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Caprylyl Methicone, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Alcohol Denat, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Helichrysum Arenarium Extract, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Magnesium Sulfate, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Quaternium-18 Bentonite, Aluminum Hydroxide, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Hydrogen Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Sodium Benzoate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium EDTA, Potassium Sorbate, Caprylyl Glycol, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Isostearic Acid, Isopropyl Myristate, Lecithin, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate, Ci 77492, Limonia Acidissima Extract, Ci 77491, Vp/Hexadecene Copolymer, Acrylates/Dimethicone Copolymer, Biosaccharide Gum-4, Rosa Davurica Bud Extract, Cinchona Succirubra Bark Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Abronia Villosa Leaf Extract, Psidium Guajava Leaf Extract, Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract (if I'm missing more forgive my eyes)Potential Irritants (Dirty Dozen):Siloxane: Cyclopentasiloxane, Lauryl PEG-10 Tris[Trimethylsiloxy]Silylethyl Dimethicone, Caprylyl Methicone, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Hydrogen Dimethicone, Acrylates/Dimethicone CopolymerPEG: Lauryl PEG-10 Tris[Trimethylsiloxy]Silylethyl DimethiconeFragranceEnvironmental Polutants:Marine Pollutants (UV Filters): Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891)Bad For Sensitive Skin:Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Alcohol Denat, FragranceBad For Acne Prone Skin:Stearic Acid, Isopropyl Myristate, Ethylhexyl PalmitateI'm 35 oily combination skin, I'm Sicilian with pink undertones. I was expecting some mild dryness since this is a matifying sunscreen with a powder finish, but omg I havent put anything this unpleasant on my skin in a long time. I just got the product the other day and was immediately displeased when I applied it for the morning. A pea size amount (enough to cover the finger) is what is recommended for the face, but it does NOT play well with other moisturizers. Since it's supposed to be applied ontop of the daily moisturizer, that's a problem to start. I don't want to worry that my sunscreen is going to ruin my skincare routine.Yesterday my face looked dry and just...unwell with the Soft Finish on. I wanted to like it, the reviews looked stellar. I don't like a lot of sun screens with my oily skin and I wanted a softer finish, but this just sucked all the oil and moisture out of my face with a ferocity I was unprepared for. This morning I went back into my routine, put on the sunscreen, and about an hour into the day my face is BURNING. I look in the mirror and my face is red and flakey and feels like I just had a chemical peel. Immediately washed my face and my skin feels hot, tender and unhappy. Will not be recommending this product. Read more
Before I tried this sun milk, I wanted to wear sunscreen daily for the skin benefits, but I hated the greasy feel of other sunscreens and their very obvious sunscreen-y scent. I bought this sunscreen to use as part of my morning 7-step skincare routine. I've noticed that some reviewers have noticed that the Soft Finish sun milk has left a pale cast to their skin, but I didn't notice a difference in my skin tone. That said, I have pale skin (I usually buy foundation in the ivory range). The sun milk is thin (definitely has a milk-like consistency) and goes on smoothly and evenly. A little bit of sun milk goes a long way, I've had it for a month with daily use and still have 3/4 of the bottle. It feels silky smooth on my skin with a very faint powdery floral scent. So much better than all the other daily sunscreens I've tried. It dries completely soft without any greasy residue, and provides a smooth base for foundation. I used it during a marine biology class in Florida and it lasted 3+ hours of snorkeling and sun without reapplication!!If you're trying to decide whether to buy this sun milk, you should buy it. It's one of the best beauty purchases I've made. Read more
I’ve tried another SPF product in this line (think is is the light blue/white packaging) and it was absolutely perfect: lightweight, effective and, very importantly, invisible on my darker skin. For ref, I am a MAC shade NW45/NC50 with a good skincare routine. This product, however, is very different. It applies (and dries) leaving a bluish-purple-white cast on my face. I write this 5 hours after applying and this hideous, obvious mask remains. I used the correct amount of product for my face as I normally would, and so I am surprised at how terrible it looks, especially given how great the other Missha SPF product is.In case not obvious, you cannot return once purchased (even if unopened). If you’re tanned or darker skin, save your cash - don’t buy this. Read more
when first applying this sunscreen it feels very silky, almost like a matte makeup primer. however at the end of the day it makes my makeup look patchy and really dries out my skin! it also leaves some white cast and makes my skin look ashy (I have a light skin tone). the product is quite heavily scented. wouldn't repurchase - a better alternative is the Biore spf50 water essence. I'm undecided on this daily suncream. Its really light which is great and doesn't leave any kind of greasy/oily finih whatsoever which is perfect. Makeup goes on well after it, and It leaves my skin really soft. It can maybe be a little bit chalky - I've got a light skin tone but I can imagine It has the potential to leave a white cast on darker skin tones. The worst bit for me is how drying it can be. I have combination skin, and I've found that I get tight dry feeling skin around my T-zone after I use it, despite having moisturiser on before (this is made worse by wearing a mask all day at work). I've found I have to use moisturiser before and after applying this to help the dry feeling! I'm not sure if this make's it less effective?I'll finish the bottle that I have and try and make a decision, but at the moment I'm not sure I'd buy it again. Read more
Honestly, for the price and the product, it’s so worth it.I am SO picky when it comes to SPF, especially on my face, I HATE that oily feeling. This SPF is light pink in colour, it’s quite a runny consistency making it easy to apply all over the face/neck area. Run it in until it’s transparent and viola, let it do it’s magic. This leaves your skin feeling so soft and moisturised with absolutely no greasy-ness to it at all.Perfect.Will definitely be buying again. This really is light weight and affordable. However I feel like this leaves a kind of light white cast, like it’s not as bad as other milk sunscreens but it leaves a light cast so it does make you look a bit whiter. I also feel like it dries you up when you top up. This is great for if you’re going out for a short amount of time in the sun as it doesn’t dry you up. Read more
