I have a similar brush bought from Costco long time back and wanted another one. But the price in Costco for mason Pearson is expensive. This brush is exactly same as my other one bought from Costco. Sadly after one year extensive use the bristles came off. The seller is truly behind the product. I saw the product has guarantee from the seller so contacted. Amazingly the seller replied back and replaced the old model with the latest model. I recommend this brush and this gesture of the seller further strengthened my opinion. I have had a number of Mason Pierson brushes over the years, and could no longer justify the entry fee. This is a really good alternative. The body is not quite as finished as the M&P, and it is smaller than I had hoped, somewhere between M&P's mini and the regular size. It does do an excellent job with tangles and the pad and bristle is high quality...a very good value! A year into owning the Misel it fell off my vanity and the handle broke off. I was sad indeed, and I contacted Misel who generously is replacing it! Brushes inevitably get dropped, and Misel assured me that the break was unusual in their experience. I'm so impressed that they have offered to replace it, and you too should not hesitate to try this excellent brush! Read more

I absolutely LOVE this hairbrush. I have waist length medium thickness , strait hair. Many years ago I purchased a Mason Pearson brush (for $85 at the time, now they are almost $200) I loved it, but would never spend that kind of money again on a brush. I saw the Misel brush, and thought I would give it a try. It looks just like the MP. Wow ! I am so pleased with it, it is just like the MP , but at a fraction of the cost. I lost my Pearson and was looking for a similar one for less. I'm amazed at how similar it is to the Pearson. The plastic and rubber insert and the boar and nylon appears almost identical. The only difference is that it's smaller than even the junior Pearson and the nylon although looks identical seems harder on my scalp. Not sure if it's because I've had my Pearson for awhile. It would be interesting to compare with a new Pearson. I wished it came in a bigger size for all my hair. It's perfect for a child size. I am very happy with the quality for the price and recommend this to anyone looking for a Pearson on a budget. Read more

Sorry worst hairbrush ever. I bought two 8 weeks ago and about 2 weeks ago all the central bristles started loosening and slipping into the body of both brushes. You absolutely get what you pay for here. My advice pay more and get a quality brush. Read more

I have a 6 year old daughter with an extremely sensitive head and brushing her hair has always been an enormous headache. She has fine hair that tangles so easily that even with detangling spray, brushing her hair is an awful experience for everyone! So after trying multiple types of brushes and having no luck easing her pain (and my headaches) I googled best hair brushes and came across a famous and extremely expensive brush that I could never afford in a million years. But then I saw this brush and read reviews where it was compared to the pricey brand and thought I’d give it a go! This is by far the BEST brush ever. Her hair is shiny and silky and the bristles went gliding through her hair so easily. I was left speechless when she declared it a very relaxing hair brush! I bought this for my nine year old granddaughter who loves and begs to use my Mason Pearson. I tried the Misel brush and it seems nice and detangles my thin long hair that goes to the the bottom of my back and left my hair very smooth. Her hair is shoulder length and thick and curly/wavy so I'm hoping it does as good of a job on her hair as well. However, it is a Christmas gift and we won't know until then! From my own experience I would say it's nice for the cost - especially for the cost! The body of the brush seems a good quality, it has a smooth and glossy look/feel, and comfortable to hold. However, it is a bit smaller than I expected, not quite as large as my Mason Pearson, which I am accustomed to. The bristles seem good and sturdy and the rubber pad seems stiff. I was worried that it might be too stiff but after I tried it I realized that it was indeed comfortable on the scalp. The nylon bristles do not have the ball tips and one might think that they feel scratchy but they actually don't scratch. That's something I realized with my Mason Pearson when I first got it. I had been used to ball tip type brushes but the problem with those is that the tips come off after awhile and those do scratch and then hairs get stuck in them and break your hair. So I do think that I will be pleased with the brush's performance and am hoping it lasts. One of my main influences with this purchase is that IT IS NOT MADE IN CHINA! My second reason is the nylon/ boar bristles, and the smooth finish on the body. I read some reviews of how people are cleaning these type brushes. Personally I don't think you should be using water and soap. The rubber will dry out and ruin the brush. It needs to be cleaned using the cleaning brush for the Misel and more like a dry cleaning. My advice would be to follow instructions for the Mason Pearson on how to clean the hairbrush as there's some really BAD advice out there!!! Read more
