I bought this for my dogs. They are both on long term pain meds for arthritis pain. My vet and I discussed how beneficial this would be for their liver to help keep it from being damaged. I open the capsules and sprinkle a little on the canned food they take their meds in. I use a liquid vitamin made for dogs to keep it creamy and they love it! The vet and I also talked about how beneficial this supplement would be for people who are being treated for chronic pain with meds and that it would do the same for them that it is doing for the dogs! I have been giving my mom milk thistle for years as she has liver disease from Hep C. This is the second time buying this brand and I like the fact that she only has to take one per day to get a good dose. Most other brands you need to take up to 3 x per day and that's hard when elderly people have so many other medications to take. So the value is good when you break it down. I had been using this particular product for over a year and had to be treated for toe nail fungus using Terbinafine . If you are aware they have to check your liver enzymes every four weeks during the treatment because sometimes Terbinafine affects the enzyme count.
