I used Mepiform over my, already healed, keloid scar that had been there for years. The scar had redness and stuck out significantly in areas. I have been embarrassed about it for so long. I put a strip of Mepiform on and was nervous so, only half a week later, I removed the tape. Actually my daughter took it off for me. My one daughter said that it looked better. The rest of my family was in shock. My one daughter was freaked and asked if it was legal and asked " Is it safe?" I hadn't seen it until after them. I have to tell you, I was quite surprised that such a simple thing could make it so much better. The redness was reduced and the scar was much better, smoother, and sticking up way less. It's like a miracle. I would recommend that you try this. I have sensitive skin and had no reaction. Anyone who has a scar that looks bad, a painful keloid scar, redness in a scar, bumpy or unusual textured scar, You need this! I applied it to a huge scar that was from multiple surgeries on my arm, broken in 3 places. That is the main reason I purchased it. The arm surgeon had claimed that it would not keloid. He was wrong. From the top of my arm/shoulder to almost my elbow is a mammoth scar. In my arm is a metal plate. Plus the stitches made me 26 small keloid baby scars down the edges. All painful and getting no better with time. Over a year later I was having physical therapy and my therapist had a strip on her arm. I asked what it was. She said that her Dr. told her to wear it to prevent bad scarring.I have suffered so long with a growing scar and complaining to my Dr. every visit. He never once mentioned it. This stuff seems to really be working! Had surgery to repair a colles fracture , got a plate in 10 screws in my wrist, this was recommend by the surgeon and when it started to turn into a bubbly scar I took her advice right away. I bought several brands of scar strips and these are by far the best. They stayed on a full week. However, they were also the most expensive. I have extensive scars so I need a full box to cover one week of scars. Yes, I have extensive scarring. Ugh. This was recommended by a friend and also a couple of plastic surgeon friends I had a couple biopsies for skin cancer and I’ve been wearing this for about 4 months to reduce the color of the scar. I was told to wear it for 12 months, and this is definitely enough to last a year. I was shocked at how large and how many mepiform sheets were in the container. They stay on for about 5-7 days (for reference I work out every day amd get sweaty, and shower twice a day). It seems expensive, but if you have a small scar, it’s a great bang for your buck. Let me tell you I am not the kind of person who writes reviews all the time, but I had to do it with this product. This is awesome. I am using it for my C-section since the birth of my baby and I noticed my scar improving in appearance almost the color of my skin and a fine line so you won't even notice I have an scar. So pleased with this product. Water proof also, which is wonderful. I was 5 days vacationing on the beach and it was in place. Something good is the color is kind of skin color. My son has a large scar from a mole removal. The scar is less than a year old but didn't expect much because it is more than a few months old.When we put this on, there were noticeable improvements. I previously used this product to deal with surgical scars and compared to Embrace that was too strong (it opened up a wound that had closed) and the silicone creams and gels I’ve used this product is the best. My scarring with this an some regular work and with bio gel was so minimal it was barely there at all at the 2 year mark and my surgery was an intense one.I am concerned that the box that arrived appeared damaged and to have been opened as shown in my photos. The product on the inside appears to be sealed and therefore still sterile and appropriate to use. I have another order shipping from the states that I ordered over 2 weeks ago, this arrived overnight so that deserves some praise especially since this stuff appears to be out of stock EVERYWHERE. Great product. Without a doubt helped my scar heal better.Before applying it, my scar was more prominent, very sensitive and definitely a different texture than the surrounding skin.Now my scar I s a lot less obvious, the tender area is a lot smaller and it feels like skin again.I saw a previous review talking about bubbles, there were areas in the middle of the bandage where it wasn’t completely stuck to the plastic backing, I had no issues with them. Bandage still worked fine and I had no adhesive issues.To me, this was well worth the money. Not the cheapest, but it’s not like I can undo the scar, so having it heal this much better makes it well worth the price. Read more

ETA: DON'T BUY THIS. I contacted the company and after months and sending a sample they finally sent a letter that there was nothing wrong with their product despite the huge bubbles and lack of adhesion only where the bubbles are. I am so disappointed.I was really excited to use this- I have a keloid on my chest which was aggravated somehow and started to grow, the new part was bright red. I have several scars and have use silicone compression before, so know it works.These packages came bubbled and fall off after two days, no matter how careful I am and how much extra I leave around the scar.
