This one time when I was 19, I bleached my hair and it turned out orange. The next day I had a job interview and I had a small bottle of ink (for fountain pens) and decided it would be a great idea to use the ink to dye my hair black. It worked! No traces of orange was left. On my way to the job interviewed, it started to drizzle a little - the ink started to run down the sides of my face (which I wiped off; leaving black smears on my face and hands. This made me nervous and I began to sweat profusely, by the time I got to the interview, I had black ink running down my face and neck.I was reminded of this when I tried this pomade. It stained my skin and hands, although it was easy to remove, it still came off throughout the day (in my cap, my hands, my pillow). Maybe if it’s blow dried it won’t come off when you touch it?Interesting product, I will not be trying it again. :) Read more
The printing is so small on the container, I had to take a photo with my phone and blow it up to read. I bought it because it is supposed to be hypo-allergenic. However, there are elaborate instructions about doing a patch test 2 days before. That tells me they must have had people complain it caused a reaction. This is nothing more than mascara. I ordered the dark brown, it was black. I put it on lightly and left it in. I figured you must have to shower, cause there is no way on Earth that any self respecting man would go outside looking like he either ran mascara through his mustache or grabbed a burnt coal from the fireplace and rubbed it over his facial hair. Looked like Groucho Marx.In the shower, it all washed completely out. There was ZERO staying power. Nothing. Zip. Nada. I gue3ss it is meant to lightly graze your beard with a soft brush or cloth and maybe slightly darken it. Tried that. Did not work. Don't buy this junk. IMO.MEN, despite what the company writes about how to apply, this is not a dye. It washes or wipes right out, if you swim, wipe your mouth after eating, or anything. It is more like stage make-up and ONLY if you have very, very dark black hair like Gomez Adams from the Adams Family. This is junk. Waste of money and smells awful. Read more
It looked like it would be great. Got it and tried to read instructions which are so hard to read due to the small letters. Had to use a huge magnifying glass to finally read them. The application was hard as well. Did what was asked of me, but it was so hard to spread easily on my hair. Lots came off on my forehead and sideburns too. Had to use hot paper towels to remove the excess from my face and forehead. Good idea, but so hard to achieve what they say. Sorry...but that is my truth.... Read more
It is like shoe polish. Too thick and has fragrance. Read more
Tried this product but I noticed that when I started sweating due to the heat of the sun, I would have a black streak coming down from my head. Kind of embarrassing and hard to wipe off. Read more
So far it's working well. Would recommend to anyone interested in darking their hair naturally. Read more
My husband bought this instead of coloring his hair. He said he doesn’t like the type of hold it has but he likes the coverage of color. So he mixes it with another hair product to produce a better hold. We have bought several of these. Only product of its kind. Read more
First, when I opened it, the can is only 1/4 filled for $16 as you can see in the image. I am not sensitive to products but this on the first application made my scalp itch and caused redness and dry skin. Returning it back for both reasons. Read more
