My dad has large vascular wounds with heavy leaking (the actual medical terms escapes me atm) from what was basically malpractice. I had to buy this while we were waiting for VA appointments to be set up when he moved in with me.If you have a basic large wound that needs covered but does not have a lot of fluid then this may work for you. The foam does not do a good job at absorption. Everything is in the box as advertised and I have no complaints of the overall quality. However if you have lots of fluid (either from blood or other inflammation related fluids) there is a superior product called Profore. If you can afford it go with it if you are not being provided by your insurance/doctor. Along with calcium alginate the healing my dad and I have seen puts this miles ahead of Coflex. Both Coflex and Profore use something called Coband as part of the wrapping process. We discovered this is classified as a tourniquet. Listen to your doctor / family member / patient when applying it. If they say its too tight that means its too tight. It can easily cut off blood flow and cause more harm than good. It doesn't matter what instructions you received that say how tight it should be. The tightness is a suggestion and not a demand. The only reason to cut off blood flow to a wound is if they are bleeding out and will be dead within minutes. I really can't stress the importance of these last parts. Read more

After a year of trying this or that including the oil snake oil salesman type my wounds are starting to heal. I have been using this now for about a month and the three wounds are going down. I know on here and the web this product is in short supply. But when you can get it is worth every penny. Read more
