I really like how this holds the heat better than the rice filled products. Also it seems a little less heavy than those filled with rice, but still is a weighty item. The fabric is astonishingly soft, and with the smaller sized filling they have put inside, it bends and conforms to your body part much better than rice does. Overall, I love mine and will replace it if I ever need to do so. I have read where some people say their's is falling apart at the seams, but mine is not doing that. It might be that some people are just rougher handling things than other people are; just trying to make sense of why some seem to have that problem while others do not. Read more

This pad heats up easily in the microwave (about 2 1/2 minutes in mine) & fits comfortably around my waist. My microwave is large, with a turntable; if you only have a small one, it might not work as well. I have a 48" waist, and the straps are JUST long enough to fit me. One complaint I have is that the filling tends to migrate into the two ends of the pack & it's a bit of trouble to work it back into the central part, where I mostly want it. Read more

I heat 3 minutes based on previous experience w/similar ones - no issue with product damage upon heating. Truly feels wonderful on my back as I use it a lot intermittently throughout day/night. This is great, I normally use wheat bags, heated in the microwave to help with my pain. I am a Chronic pain sufferer, which is difficult to deal with. I don’t want to take too many high strength pain killers, and heat has been the biggest help with my chronic pain.This lower back wrap is superb, I have a 900w flatbed microwave and fing 1.5 to 2mins in winter to be about the right amount of time, 1-1.5mins the rest of the time. It is comfortable to have on and I can walk around with it on, unlike wheat bags. So I would highly recommend this. Also my wife loves how soft it is so heats it up and wears it on her neck. this is supersoft and comfortable, but I would have liked more back coverage (height) and it takes quite a while too heat up and cools down fast which is a bit irritating, Perhaps this is the nature of the beast. Much prefer my electric heated jacket - just wish it was portable. Read more

Brougbt this item for my partner as he suffers cold in his hip. The item is made to a great quality, and is perfect size to place over the hip.
