These little palettes are probably the best drug store shadows I have found. You can make a beautiful eye with them. They do take a little bit of work to build them up, but you can still get great payoff. As long as you tap off, there is really no fallout. Be careful with the shimmers- they are a little soft and crumbly. Use a white primer to make the color brighter. Using a small brush to shape out the shimmer followed by patting with the finger gives the best results. The size is perfect for travel. I have medium skin tone with yellow undertones. Pigment is alright, blendability is good. There is a bit more fallout in the pan than other products, so I apply while before wiping off my bake to be safe.Biggest let-down is the "silver shimmer". I was so excited. The photo with my eye closed shows what it looks like. I couldn't take it, so I popped a little highlight over it (it's in the other photos). saw it in the pan and my heart came alive. But on the eye, it becomes a muddy, dull grey. I tried applying it with setting spray and over concealer. It just didn't want to come through for me. Maybe if I was doing a grey gradient smokey eye? But not with these other shades. The silver broke my heart, but all the other shades performed as expected.My go-to drugstore palette is Elf's Nude Rose Gold and I didn't even realize as I was buying the Brunch Nudes palette that most of the shades in it are in my Elf palette. But I love that the darker purple is matte. I swatched the. Side by side for my own curiosity and thought I'd share. Maybelline seemed to be slightly more pigmented. I'd say blendability is the same, maybe I prefer Elf.Overall, I don't hate it. I want to play with it more before I decide whether or not I'd recommend it to a friend. A well trusted beauty guru highly recommends the rooftop bronzes palette so maybe that one would have been a better choice. Read more

The colors of the makeup received are nothing like what is in the posted pictures, except the light shimmery gold-ish color.The dark pink and the teal are NOTHING like what is in the pictures, true colors are flat out ugly. The "teal" is more like a grayish navy and goes on like a grayish forrest green and the dark pink is like a very dull, ugly mauve and goes on like purpleish brown.I have 2 of the Rooftop Bronzes from Maybelline's City Mini Palette line that I LOVE and was hopeful these colors would be just as great. I love this eyeshadow pallete. I am using it daily & into Fall 2020. I love all the shades & look forward to using these eyeshadows up. Right now I mostly using the 3 darkest colors. The main rose color is not sparkly & I like that allot. I previously had used a sparkly pink all summer long & was tired of that. I do have to build up the color a bit, but that can still go quickly if you have a good makeup mirror. the darkest plum/dark pink color I use on top of my liquid black eye liner near my lower lash line. I use the edge of an eyeshadow applicator to apply it. I have long lower lashes, so I do have to lift the up to apply liquid eyeliner, or the eyeshadow for emphasis. Not a makeup expert, just trying to find a travel palette that gives me mattes and shimmers in something a little bouncier than my usual neutrals. Surprisingly I liked the palest color - usually they are too bright for my taste - this is actually a nice warm tone. The dark purple however is not quite dark enough (I like to use one as an eyeliner on the upper lid rather than a pencil) and I find overall the pallette runs a little too much to red. I use a combo concealer stick and my lotion as a primer for my eyelids and I have had no issue with fallout. I think if you are looking for a more rose palette and use a regular eyeliner this could make an all in one travel solution taking you from day to night. Read more

Chill Brunch Neutrals is an okay palette---some of the colors are hits, others are misses. A couple colors lack pigmentation (even though I use a primer). On the bright side, I have purchased a number of these city mini palettes & so many of them are AMAZING. Rooftop Bronzes is incredible---it is on point with many other palettes at a much higher price point. Maybelline has a few kinks to work out here & there but overall these palettes are amazing. This pallet of cool toned, matte colors is EXACTLY what I've been looking for! The shades are beautiful, and there are enough options to do a natural daytime look, an evening darker look, and a couple in between.I will say that 2 of the colors are almost identical, but it's probably the one I'll use most, so that works for me.I will also note that the eyeshadow is a bit powdery, which is PERFECT for blending, but you MUST wear a good primer if you want it to last.All in all, I LOVE it, and I'll probably get a second one just in case they stop making this pallet :) Read more

I bought this set of eyeshadows because I was looking for matte shadows in natural looking shades. I have to say, I'm very impressed. I think the image makes the colors look a bit harsher than they actually are. I think this would be great if you're looking to carry fewer items when traveling. Unlike many palettes, I don't think there is a single color I couldn't wear. I'm not sure that this would work for someone with a sallow complexion but for those of us on the pale end it works great.
