I don’t like how this car seat has no recline. My infants head always falls forward because the seat is too upright. Because it has the extra carrier that fits into the other piece, it ends up making it sit very upright. For a young infant, you want them to be reckoned so their head doesn’t fall forward and make them not be able to breathe. I also don’t like how it sits on my baby jogger stroller, it sits to far back causing my double stroller to become a single stroller because than I can’t fit a second seat because it takes up too much room. I do like how it has the lighter carrier but it doesn’t have a visor so the sun gets in your babies eyes. Also if you need to carry with the visor part you have an very heavy car seat now. I love the features it shows but what it comes down to is how frustrating it was to remove the inner shell from the outer(w/ out baby In it) If your in a rush and trying to get the inner shell out it will be so frustrating. We were drawn to the idea of having a light carrier with the strap, along with the fact the base at least includes a load leg, a feature that ought to be included in EVERY car seat. To our disappointment, however, this seat falls far short in so many ways that we had to return it. We just wouldn’t trust it with our baby. Aside from the fact that US car seat regulations fall far short of that of Europe, where rigid latches are the standard (ISOFIX) (it’s frustrating when European manufacturers (like Maxi Cosi) opt to supply the US market with far inferior bases to cheap out on the unsuspecting/ignorant consumer), this car seat base just screams CHEAP and unsafe. The seat is “secured” to the base by only a single point and has a significant amount of ‘give’, which leaves it bouncing up and down as you drive, and that’s before accounting for the additional slack between the inner-carrier and flimsy shell carrier. The seat cushion is also nothing to rave about. It lacks proper newborn support, and the material feels (is) cheap. To sum it up, the ONLY positive of this seat is the removable carrier, but that is not enough to make up for the complete lack of safety and security your child deserves. Read more
