I love these bath sponges! One side is just a bit scratchy, without being to harsh, so it's perfect for exfoliating dead skin. It's size is also wonderful. It is a bit larger than the "poofy" bath things made from mesh, but not so large as to be clumsy to use. I am a large guy with big hands, so I really love that it doesn't feel like I bathing with a tiny cotton ball. For an average sized person, I think it's just large enough to feel luxurious, without being too large and clumsy to use.The sponge sucks up lots of water, so it doesn't dry quickly, so I'd be cautious about using them daily without laundering. It would likely mildew and grow germs if you tried to let it air dry between uses like a bath brush. Since they are very affordable, I'm planning to order more and treat them like a washcloth and launder them between uses. They work perfect this way since the soft side of the sponge is gentle for your face or other tender areas, and the rough side is great for your feet and other areas you want to exfoliate.I love to bathe with Dr. Bronner's liquid soap with peppermint, and this sponge holds the soap really well so it stays saturated and bubbly while showering without needing to apply more soap midway though. I had a hard time finding the perfect exfoliating sponge. I work in the yard a lot so I needed something that feels like I am actually clean. A lot of products out there claim to be exfoliating, but it is not "rough enough" for my liking. These are a staple in my home. Since they come with a couple in a pack, each family member gets one and falls as much in love with it as I am. The sponge side is sifts and makes your shower luxurious with all the foam and the scrubby side is perfect for exfoliating areas that need more TLC. I Love them and will continue to purchase them. I've, finally, found a dual sided bath sponge that is just like the ones that came as a package deal with Jergens liquid bath soap many years ago. Those bath sponges were dual sided and had a hole in the sponge side where the liquid soap could be placed. I used to find dual sided sponges (no soap hole) in the local CVS, but they have been discontinued. These sponges appear to fill the bill. As with the ones I was using, I will cut a hole in the sponge side for my liquid soap. I haven't started to use them yet, but they look well constructed and I am hopeful they will work as well as that long ago product that I used for years. Read more

I like the soft side of these sponges but the white side is kind of rough and scratchy for me. Keep in mind that I prefer my sponges to be really, really soft so if you don't like soft sponges then my review may not be helpful for you. I'm hoping that as I use these more the material will soften a tiny bit and become less scratchy, but I usually end up choosing another bath sponge when I shower because others that I own are way more soft.
