The manufacturer went through all sorts of trouble to scratch of the last part of the serial number on both the box and bottle (see pictures). My wife and I both noticed the smell would only last 5 minutes. Additionally, we can't return the knock off perfume due to it being a flammable item and Amazon doesn't do returns on flammable items.Do not buy... Daisy Dream is my favorite fragrance. I've ordered it twice now and the first bottle lasted two years, so it's definitely worth the price.I haven't had any issues with authenticity with either of my purchase. The scent does fade after a while, but it's an eau de toilette, which is lighter than a perfume or eau de parfum. Eau de toilettes have a higher alcohol content and lower percentage of pure perfume, meaning they're lighter, shorter lasting and best for day-to-day use.Personally, I find the eau du toilette perfect for me and even though the scent does fade, I can still smell it on my clothes and skin at the end of the day. I smelled this perfume at Macy's and loved it. It is light and has a hint of jasmine. I didn't want to spend the $100+ price for it in the store. I was concerned about this purchase because it was nearly 50% less than the department store price. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I used to love the Daisy scents so I had a small stockpile, mostly purchased from Marshall's. When I got around to opening them they all had no scent, only an alcohol smell. I thought it was my fault since I had been a hoarder, the smell had worn off. Threw those away. Found this Daisy Dream on Amazon at a good price with pretty good reviews so thought would try again with the Daisy scent. I accidentally bought 2 of them instead of one. Just finished the first one and opened the second. OK, the first had a very faint smell but went ahead and used it up. The one I just opened has zero scent, other than the alcohol. I love this scent by Marc Jacobs. It can be worn day or night and suits most occasions. It is advisable to refresh after a few hours as it is not overpowering, but the scent makes you feel beautiful.
