My hair is naturally very wavy on top and curly underneath and neither texture goes the same direction, resulting in chaos and frizz. I do Japanese Hair Straightening which is a permanent hair straightener but my roots obviously grow out with my natural texture, which means I have frizzy, curly roots and sleek, straight lengths (it looks crazy). The Japanese straightener also causes some breakage when it's first done, so when the new growth comes in, I have these short little flyaways on my crown that I'm always trying to control. I live in a very humid state and was looking for something I could use on my roots when I straighten my hair to make them look the same straight texture as my ends and not immediately turn into frizzy flyaways by the humidity.I've already noticed an improvement in that my roots were able to get much straighter during styling and laid flat, and looked the same as my lengths which was something I couldn't get them to do before with my previous leave-in conditioner/heat protectant. Humidity protection also seems good; usually my straightened roots are kinky or wavy by the time I get to work, and they're still straight. I took a star away for flyaways that were laying flat before I got in the car and stuck straight up afterwards, suggesting that the humidity control is not perfect, but I'm still happy with this product.The smell is great, that very clean salon smell that kind of reminds me of Tresemme. The texture is very thick like a lotion and on some of my thinner sections of hair, I opted to spray the product into my hand instead of directly on my hair, otherwise it was too dense and heavy and just left my hair sticky. I would suggest spraying it in your hand and dispersing if you have very fine or thin hair, as it would weigh your hair down otherwise. Suggestion.. if you’re one of the ones who think this stuff is too heavy, makes your hair look greasy, etc, try this; spray it into the palm of your hand before application. You’ll see that just one or two spritzes is all you need. It’s hard to keep track of just how much you’re putting into your hair when it’s applied with a fine spritz. I was actually really surprised at just how much was coming out in one spray!!!Like another reviewer, I got a sample of this through Ipsy as well, and was blown away. It was the best stuff I’d tried and it is still the champ - despite new hair product samples I get monthly through Ipsy, most of which are samples of high dollar brands.I am convinced that anyone who doesn’t like this product because it “makes their hair heavy, greasy, etc” is using WAAAAAAY too much!A little goes a LONG way.Maybe the people with super thin fine hair have a valid concern with this product, but my hair is insane. Wow. I spend a lot of money on hair products, and stumbled upon this. It is amazing! Unlike a lot of the other reviews, I have straight, fine hair that is easily damaged by heat. After using this for 3 months now, I have zero breakage and my hair is getting LONG. So much so, that my hairdresser has even commented on the health of my hair. And it’s CHEAP! This is my absolute favorite leave in. I got it in an ipsy bag awhile ago and always used it after I bleached my hair for added moisture. Just had a baby and started losing hair. I put this on after every shower especially on my ends and I don't pull a single hair out when brushing it anymore. It's amazing. Also really good for the summer if your hair tends to get dry, brittle, and matted like mine does. It keeps the humidity from making it stick together. I only wash my hair on Friday every week and I put conditioner + this on my hair and it is never greasy, just super soft. Also inexpensive. I did have a bottle arrive that was busted in the bag and the cap was loose and leaked out, but I requested a replacement and amazon got it to me very quickly. My hair has always been it's own beast. Puberty caused my hair to be curly in the front, wavy in the back. After my first baby, my hair got super wavy in the back; 2nd baby, Frizzy.... I'm in my 40's.... Full on White-Girl-Frizz-Fro.
