This is the BEST bottle out there guaranteed!I'm dealing with my 4th baby to refuse a bottle under all circumstances. I nursed all mine till at least 1year but not always by choice! My son turned 1 at the end of March so we began the search for the perfect sippy cup. I knew this could be a challenge because he was a baby who had STRONG preferences about his bottles...as an infant we tried many different brands of bottles in search of the one he would tolerate. Maam bottles and pacifiers were his clear favorites, so this was one of the first cups we tried.First off, let me start with the good things about this cup! The price point is great. It is very simple to assemble-no trickier than any of the Maam bottles, which are some of the simpler ones on the market. Two types of spouts are included to help with the transition. Simplicity of design means there are fewer parts to lose or to get grungy, so that’s also a plus.I knocked several stars off, though, because after less than a month of use the spout has developed a small tear and is no longer safe for use. Thank goodness I noticed during washing before giving it to the baby! We’ve used this cup about every other day since we got it on March 30th...it’s April 22nd. I expect regular wear and tear on baby’s things, but that seems a little short lived. It was a good reminder for me, though, about why it’s important to inspect cups and pacifiers before handing them to the baby.I already had purchased another identical cup so I just put the new top on. And our son is on his way to feeding himself (as I hold back tears) very proud mama. This bottle is the same great mam quality - bpa / phthalate free and easy to clean. The nipple and bottle ring and handle are interchangeable with the other mam bottles. This bottle however has a solid bottom to help prevent leaks and comes with a “no spill” nipple and a sippy cup nipple for easier transition. While I liked the idea of the no spill nipple my son did not....although it is supposed to be a medium flow it seems to flow much slower than our standard level 3’s - no big deal as you can put whatever one you want on it. My daughter is 2 &has been using mam bottles &pacifiers right from birth. She was breastfed but had terrible silent reflux so there were times that she could not breastfeed without being in horrible screaming pain. Those times are when she'd only take her mam bottle. Believe me, we tried EVERY anti-colic brand to no avail. The nurses at the nicu where she spent a week suggested mam for ease of use, less parts, easy sterilization &no bpa's. I am so grateful to them. So here we are, &it's time to switch to 'big girl' cups (she is super attached to her baba so it's not easy!). I finally ordered her this cup &SHE LOVES IT. I am very happy with this cup. Overall, it feels very sturdy and well made. The plastic bottle is nice and thick and the nipples are smooth, flexible, but still sturdy. The handle is a separate piece, so you can easily leave it on or off. It comes with two nipples which is really nice. The first nipple is more like a bottle nipple, but just ever so slightly squared off (perfect for transitioning from bottle to sippy cup), the other is a traditional sippy cup nipple.My favorite part of this cup though, is the cap it comes with. It is the perfect size and shape to feed liquid to a picky baby and it HAS MEASURMENTS on it!!! I was so happy to have the ounces (2 oz capacity) printed on the lid to know how much my baby drank. In the beginning, she would not take any sort of bottle or sippy cut, so the only way I could get her to drink milk or water was through a normal adult cup with not lid of any sort. I purchased this product because my little one uses Mam pacifiers. I nurse so she's never really used a bottle and I trust the Mam brand. She took easily to the bottle nipple. Unfortunately, she found a love for throwing things in the trash and we realized a day after the fact that she threw her first cup away. We purchased a new one immediately and transitioned her to the sippy cup nipple. She really enjoys it and carries it everywhere.It's definitely durable with her and her older sibling banging it on everything, throwing it, and shaking it. She has figured out that it's fun the push on the sippy spout while holding it upside down to make it drip, but nothing too excessive. Also, we have found that every time we take the lid off we have to push the nipple or spout back into place all the way before putting the lid back on or it leaks. I purchased a few of these because my son only likes MAM pacifiers and they aren't made in China. I kept hearing about sippy cups leaking, but this one doesn't leak at all. The only complaint I have is I had to use a safety pin to punch a few more holes in the nipple because my 9 month old was pulling hard and barely getting anything out. However, he can hold it on his own and it doesn't leak at all, even when he throws it on the floor. Read more
