I thought this makeup mirror would be great until I put it together. The mirror has to be attached to the stand. I tightened it as much as I could however, it was wobbling all over the place. When I looked at the bottom, it wasn’t screwed in all the way. Normally, this wouldn’t have been a problem however, this wasn’t an ordinary screw. It looked like an allen wrench would be needed. Naturally, I didn’t have one handy. I have a few options: I can either send it back, install a different screw the same size or, get an allen wrench, all requiring me to make a special trip. The mirror itself is great , but it is far from being stable by any means. You have to screw it to the stand and the screw head does not fit flat therefore it wobbles like crazy on any surface. It’s hard to put on makeup appropriately when it does not stand upright due to wobble-ness of it and you kinda of have to turn your neck awkwardly to use. It’s a shame because again the mirror itself is a great mirror and a great price. I’ll have to figure out a way to eliminate the stand and create a new one of sorts however. Definitely shows it’s important to always read reviews prior to purchasing. Read more
The 7x magnification is just right. The quality of the reflection is distortion-free. The stand is stable and attractive. It's a really good design. It's handy having a 7x and a 1x mirror surface to play with.I found other 10x mirrors too distorting. In future I will stick to 5x or 7x. Read more
