I've never used powder before so I did a little research and discovered this.I've always had a problem with my makeup looking cakey. I used Revlon Colorstay 24 hour foundation and it would look so bad. But sometimes looked okay so I guess that's why I kept wearing it. Plus it's super full coverage which is what I need due to my redness. I did more research and discovered estee lauder double wear stay in place foundation and holy s***! I have finally found a foundation routine that I loveee! It looked good at first without using this hd powder. But then I bought this to finish off my foundation and it makes it look amazing! Soft, natural looking. Doesn't look like you're really wearing makeup. It's light and beautiful. You have to be very careful with it because you only need a very very small amount. If you use more than you need to, you won't be able to tell, until you take a picture with flash. You will see all of the powder and it will be so white. So you have to be very very careful if you're planning on being photographed. I bought a puff from Laura Mercier and I push the puff into the powder and fold it and rub it in and then pat the back of my hand to get rid of the excess powder and then apply it by gently rolling it on to lock it in. I have tried multiple face powders - many of which were listed on the "top" makeup buy lists. This is the only powder I have found that does not settle into fine lines on my face and leaves an extremely smooth and air brushed look finish - it leaves my skin looking flawless without the caked-on look or odd color that other powders do. It may be pricier than other products, but it is well worth it. And a little goes a long way, so you not go through the jar quickly. Does not cause skin irritation or breakouts. It is light weight. If you have large pores, this is for you! I use this loose powder version instead of the pressed compact because one drop of that compact and the pressed powder shatters into really unusable bits. I wish it wasn’t so — I’d love to have one for my purse. The loose powder is magic enough — photographs great, pores disappear, can powder over and over and it never gets funky. Truly a five star product. As a male that needs to use cover up for some pretty bad hive breakouts, I use this to set the cover up...The LAST thing I want is to look "made up".
