I have very fair skin and alabaster is the perfect shade for me. I am 46 and I don't wear powder as a rule but this one seems to have a bit of a blurring effect on my skin and doesn't feel as drying and heavy as others I've tried. It doesn't accentuate wrinkles as badly as most powders do. If you want that 1950s matte classic pinup makeup look then this would be perfect for you. It's not marketed as a foundation but it does cover most of my imperfections all on it's on. I do need concealer for my melasma and undereye area. It has a beautiful creamy , finely milled feeling. I will start by saying that I've been using this product for close to a decade. Just recently I've started ordering them on Amazon because my neighborhood drugstore doesn't carry the lighter shades and Amazon's prices are nearly half of what I pay in the store. The color always blends in well into my skin and it stays put throughout a full workday. If I have plans later in the evening, I might need to touch it up just a bit. The only reason I gave this product 3 stars instead of 5 is because of its first ingredient, talc (a known carcinogen). I am a metrosexual make and like to look the best I can. I found that this works well when I use the Revlon Matt primer along with the liquid True Match super blendable foundation and top it off with the matching super blendable powder. Together, this helps me combat oil and still look clean and healthy. The foundation does not oxidize, change consistency or look any different at the end of the day and that’s a good thing as I want to look the best I can without looking like I am “made up”. It is ironic that male makeup is so taboo as many men compliment my “good skin” and when I tell them that I am wearing make up, they get very inquisitive about how they too can look better... This is a super soft and easy to blend full-coverage powder that wears beautifully on it's own or over foundation. For full coverage all-day wear, I use L'oreal Lumi foundation with this on top and it stays put all day and actually looks more like my own skin and creamier as the day goes on. I've been happily using the L’Oreal True Match liquid foundation for a while now, and finally got around to ordering its powder cousin. I chose the warm beige shade to compliment the Natural Buff shade of my foundation...and it works like a charm. I love the ultra soft powder texture, how easily it glides across my skin. All day, every day. This powder is my go-to. Over moisturizer, primer or sunscreen, it has enough coverage for me. My daughter uses it as well. I have used it over a tinted BB cream and also foundation, works well there too.I don't like the applicator sponge that comes in the base, I replace it with a powder puff that I buy in 3-packs from ULTA or pharmacy. It could go on with a brush as well if brushes are your thing.It's inexpensive and works well, packaging is cheap but at this price point it's not an issue! I use N-1 for my fair, somewhat pink-ish skin, daughter uses same shade with her more gold-toned skin. Truly neutral and pretty translucent so perfect shade match not essential. Read more
