The picture shown for this product that says “color results based on your natural shade” is incorrect. In the picture on Amazon, it shows that the color will work for blonde to medium brown hair. Upon receiving the actual box, this color is only recommended for light to medium blonde hair. Unfortunately I didn’t notice the discrepancy until after I colored my hair. My natural hair color is a dark ash blonde and the color did not take at all. I ended up with a slightly brassier shade to my own natural hair color, but it was no where near the color on the box. Also the ammonia smell was SUPER strong and harsh. I do not recommend this product. Read more

I love this color! Just what I needed..I took my brassy faded out dyed light brown level 7,(for those who know what that mean), faded in some spots to a level 8, THEN semi permanent rose gold fade and applied this rr7 and left on for 35 to 45 minutes. It was very stinky, but didnt seem to be a drying of my hair as other colors have been. Now let's see how quickly it fades. Not too overly worried if it does because if it fades to much I will put semi permanent pink back over it in a conditioner base which will hopefully show up and be silky and a rose gold ish...pretty excited about the near future for my hair. I'm still completely depressed that L'oreal discontinued my all-time favorite hair color (I loved the 2 steps with the highlights - you can't beat the multi-tonal results that end up really looking natural). But I bought 4 different red auburn colors from different brands, and this one matched the closest. It's a little bit more of a vibrant red than Ginger Twist, and maybe not quite as dark a red in tone, but for my medium-brown natural hair color, this one comes out really nicely. It smells a lot stronger of chemicals than Colour Experte did, but it's manageable for the time it takes to color hair. Read more

Other then the fact that it's displayed as hair dye, this product is a completely different then what they claim. My hair turned black. I have colored my hair black before and was pleased with the results, so I didn't mind. But I think that everyone should receive what they ordered.If you don't mind the color change, it's great. My hair is pretty long, and even though Iaccidentally ordered 1 box instead of two it still covered all of my hair, and lasted longer then any of the other brands I have used lately. I am still seeing the color of the dye in the water when I rinse my hair out, but the color still seems to be dark and it's been about a month since I've dyed my hair. Read more

I’m a bit disappointed in the colour, even over my blonde ends it came out quite a bit darker and more brownish than even the darkest result on the box. It’s a decent auburn but didn’t come out anything like the colour on the box. The formula is quite runny and strong smelling but surprisingly my hair doesn’t feel overly damaged. Read more
