This product has mineral oil (liquid petroleum) in it. You would think that a global skincare company such as L'Oréal would keep this ingredient out of its products. Mineral oil just "sits" on the skin . . . not very nutritious. And while sitting on the skin it holds in bacteria. Mineral oil is a contaminant of the human body and can clog pores. Many skincare companies avoid using this ingredient in their products. There are many other manufacturers out there who address updated skincare technology using natural plant extracts, natural oils and other ingredients which have benefits for our skin. I saw the Helen Mirren ad and ordered this immediately. I'm over 60, have pale English skin, and tend to look washed out with no makeup enhancement. I was so pleased that this actually did brighten my skin, even without adding foundation. In fact, a couple of times I've looked so finished that I've forgotten to add my usual foundation before going to work. I'm not sure if this would be as perfect for those with darker skin, but all you pale ladies out there will love the natural, understated effect. Read more

This is nice lotion, it has some stuff in it that isn't the best for skin and that's a big reason why I gave it 4 stars. It's really expensive for something with fillers and other stuff in it.Having said that, it's nice enough. I bought it a lot for the peony, I love Korean cosmetics and I was excited to find that this had a lot of things in it that Japanese and Korean high end cosmetics use. It also has some cutting edge peptides in it and some other good things too.I almost gave it 3 stars because of the color. I was among the many who thought the color would be cool, it wasn't. I mostly use it around my eyes and it's not helpful there at all. I use a massage tool that heats up and thankfully it helps me to use less of the lotion and therefore less of the color. The color does nothing XD it doesn't add a healthy glow to cheeks, it's really incredibly somehow useless, I'm not sure why at all. It's not a very good pink, maybe it's because it's kind of an orangey color.I think if you have the sort of coloring that goes well with orange, you'll be one of the people who writes a 5 star review for this product. I have skin that likes pink and tends to go well with pink. The fillers and other sub-par chemicals in this mean that there are other products out there that can do better for less. This cream is so silky and non greasy, thicker than most facial moisturizers I use, but goes a long way as a very little amount goes a long way! I haven’t noticed any rosy tone to my skin with using this product. I have very sensitive and dry skin on my cheeks, and this moisturizer has helped improve the dryness and notice my skin is much softer and less sensitive feeling! Read more

I was super worried when I first applied this to my face because it went super red everywhere, no rosy about it I was fire hydrant red but it died down after five minutes. My skin felt hydrated and was left with a nice pink color. After using this cream twice a day for a little over a week my dry skin felt so hydrated. With it being a thicker cream I thought I might break out but I never had any issues. Like I said it really left my skin feeling soft and smooth and I would have given this cream five stars but I really did not like the scent. It just reminded me to much of old lady perfume. This product, for me, is just ok...nothing great. I have been using it since October and no changes to my skin tone, texture or wrinkles. I am 58.Other reviews indicated cheeks become “rosy” toned...not for me. No rosiness at all.There is a strong peony smell but that doesn’t bother me. I do like the texture of the cream itself but my skin is no softer, smoother or ‘glowing’ than before I started using it.Nice cream but a waste of my $$. Read more

This is a good day cream for combination skin. It seems to almost blur my fine lines and wrinkles, which is a bonus. It's a nice, thick cream that massages quickly into the skin. I haven't used it long enough to know if it will make a difference long term but I do like it. The packaging is also nice, though I generally prefer a tube since it's easier to get all the product out. The one drawback for me is the scent which is quite strong. I'm not sure how those with allergies to scent would find it. All in all, a good product. Read more
