First off, I do like the brow pencil on how it performs. The pencil hardness is just right and the thin point allows for great control of defining eyebrows precisely.HOWEVER, the amount of product you get for the price is simply ridiculous.After carefully testing the ability to retract the pencil, I was shocked to see that you only get less than one inch of the super-thin (1/16") pencil.I thought another brand was bad for offering about two inches of the actual product, but this is even far worse with less than half the diameter and length. I LOVE this Loreal eyebrow pencil! I have thick eyebrows, but like to fill in the sparse spots to give me a more polished look. I've tried Anastasia Dipbrow before, but find this pencil so much easier to work with. I have brown hair and dark eyebrows. I've used both Brunette and Dark Brunette. They have both worked ok, but I definitely prefer the Dark Brunette shade for my cool-toned skin and eyebrows. The pencil itself goes on smoothly and I have never had any issues with the tip breaking. Highly recommend!ETA: I attached a photo to compare Dark Brunette and Brunette in natural light. The Dark Brunette shade is at the top and the Brunette shade is at the bottom. You can definitely see how much warmer the Brunette shade is...it would be perfect for someone with auburn hair or with more warm-toned skin. Both shades are highly pigmented and buildable. I love this pencil, works perfect, lines perfect and is great for filling in as well. I'm all about groomed nice brows! The little brush is perfect for prepping, little tip makes for perfect outlining. Dont hesitate, it's great. My only complaint, soft brown has a reddish tint which I wish they would rectify. I have previously been happy with this product. It went on easily and was a good color for me. The brunette was a nice dark brown and didn’t get reddish on my skin. Dark brunette was a little too dark and looked harsh on me (for reference, I’m a middle-aged medium toned Asian woman). However, the pieces on the last two that I’ve gotten come apart when you pull off the caps. It happened with one pencil and I just assumed it was a fluke. It’s now happened on another pencil so it seems to be a trend. I tried gluing and that helped but I don’t think you should have to glue a brow pencil. It’s extremely annoying to have reassemble your brow pencil every day.But the worst part was that when the parts came apart, I realized how little product was in each pencil. The price seemed reasonable until I actually saw how little is in each pencil. I may look around for an alternative.UPDATE: I’ve continued to buy these since I haven’t taken the time to find an alternative product. This time the package arrived with one end of the plastic packaging open so the pencil was sliding around loose in the shipping box. The sliding around didn’t bother me but the sanitation did. I love this brow pencil! I have struggled with finding a product that works on my very light blond eyebrows. I have been using a shadow powder and a brow brush but this product is a game changer for me! Some of my brow hairs are starting to turn white, and being a child of the 90s, I had overplucked them back when it was trendy. I love that I can use this pencil to draw brow hairs on (upwards from bottom of brow to the top), then use the brush attachment to blend. Remember GLH for men - spray-on to cover bald spots? That's how I feel about this pencil. The product sticks to your brow hairs, then thickens when you brush it out, giving you nice brows without looking fake. I'm 50-years old and not into the whole drawn brows that the 20-somethings are into, but if you are looking for something to just darken and define your brows (so people can see your expressions), then this is the product for you. L'Oreal has never had the cheapest products, but $12 is a bit expensive for a brow liner - especially when it's easy to go through in very little time unless you use a very, very light hand. However, the quality of the liner itself is great! I love how easily it applies, how pigmented it is, and how fine the tip is to allow you to make the smallest little strokes. If you don't mind the higher price for a "drugstore product", it's worth buying. I've purchased it multiple times. Read more

This brow pencil is thin and dry, and pieces snap off easily with little pressure. For this reason I don’t think it’s worth the money, as this pencil lasts only a week or 2 as the product runs out very quickly because of the short pencil length and thinness. You need to use more product to fully fill in your brows. I tried only twisting up small amount of the pencil at a time, but it depleted very quickly and if I twisted it maybe 2mm-3mm or so long, the whole piece would snap off. Read more
