Left for about 25 minutes and used the two boxes to make sure I didn’t miss anything. It turned into this pastel blue/lavender color! I’m soooo happy with it! I have never colored my hair before. I have naturally brown hair with some red highlights (dark auburn?). My hair is long and very thick. FYI, if you have a lot of hair like me buy 2 boxes.I did not want to bleach my hair. I have included a picture of my hair before and after.It was easy to use. I'm a messy person and it got on my sink and hands and scalp- it all came out, no problem. It wiped off my sink with cold water and paper towels. After rushing home to dive in to my long awaited box of l'oreal silver hair dye. I set the mood with some delicious music, Novo amor specifically, I light some candles and dim the lights.After I bleached and lifted all the color from my hair, I gingerly opened the box of silver dye and followed all instructions. At this point, I'm practically a chemist, pairing tube 1 with tube 2 and 3 and so forth as according to instructions. I decided to grow out my graying hair and had my hairdresser do a lot of white blonde foils all over my ash blonde dyed hair to help camouflage the new growth. To my surprise, as the roots grew longer, I could see it was much more "pepper and salt" than I expected. I thought this Feria color might give even more camouflage and I was far more right than I had anticipated. The bleached white streaks have turned a beautiful blue against silvery darker blonde, the naturally silver hair glints through it all, AND, despite the packaging saying the color does not lighten hair, the "pepper" in my hair has indeed lightened to match the darker silver-blonde. I am thrilled! My only caveat is that the supplied conditioner is very heavy, so I will substitute my John Frieda mauve-tinted one and add argan ("Moroccan") oil to my hair for extra shine. I went from dyed box black for 10 years to very light blonde from November 2017 to currently. My hair is mainly grey now and upkeep on black was very hard. I wanted silver but it's not one of the easier colors for longevity. My stylist did a silver toner first which didn't last long and then a high lift, (I also did a few), to avoid bleach. Then she did a demi-permanent color. It didn't last and I was blonde again. I decided to try this since I always use L'oreal hair color and figured it's a cheaper way to color my hair for now. I really love it! I doubt it will last long since day 2 here I can see the blonde but it will grow out and I will use this again. Silver is just a color that doesn't last long.
