This lipstick is moisturizing and lasts through drinking a bottle of water. The color itself is neutral but has a purple undertone to it. I have a fair complexion, and put about five layers on my lips in the pictures, so there isn't a lot of color payoff, but some of that has to do with the shade. I will definitely buy again! This is just about the perfect mauve I've been searching for since my favorite was discontinued. It has enough brownish-purple tone in it to not come off as plastic pink and is good for my darker skin tone. Other mauves have always been too light/too pinkish for my natural lip color. It is def matte so if you don't like that this is not for you. It wears very well (being a matte) and I don't have to apply lipstick for hours even after drinking and light eating. It's not 'masky' like some ultra mattes, but is definitely a thicker lipstick, not a sheer. You can apply a lighter toned gloss in the center if you don't like the feel of it. If you are a brunette with dark eyes and a darker skin tone, this is a great natural looking mauve with a subtle pop of color. Love it. Read more

"Passionate Pink" is a warm tone pink with just enough brightness to pop against my olive complexion (yellow undertones). Thank you L'oreal for giving me the rosebud lips that I seem to desire once the weather gets cold. Passionate Pink is a really nice daytime color, very pretty and wonderful for when you just want to feel classically pretty and feminine. I buy A LOT of lippies and this deep cool-toned lippie stole my heart. Cutting Edge Cork is a stunning color! I adore this with a grey-brownish eye-look, a sharp black wing, and a pop of this color. DAMN. I had to reduce one star because it's very soft so the lipstick kind broke on the base and it wobbles when I apply it on my lips. Other than that, I really like it and highly recommend it. I also bought the color Bold Mauve and its basically this shade but with a droplet of mauve. I love them both, but if I had to recommend one shade, it'd be Cutting Edge Cork. Read more

I have been a fan of Loreal for 2 decades and have never had an issue with their makeup until I ordered this color online... it was horrible in terms of the smell.. a very strong perfumey scent which was just too much to bare.
