I had a few shower sponges where the plastic handle broke (I'm a big, strong guy). So I bought a wood handled one that didn't break, but the sponge started coming out after not too long. I bought this 4 pack, and I'm still on my first one. The sponge has started to loosen a little, but it has outlasted all the others at less than 1/2 the price.update- it's now 5/12/19. These wash puffs are pretty, colorful and helpful to someone who needs help reaching to bathe body parts that just need to be soaped and rinsed. These bath helpers are not scrubbers. For me they are much too soft for scrubbing my back, but because I have a problem with movement of one shoulder, they are perfect to clean the opposite arm and underarm. I usually replace my back scrubber when the string that holds the loofah disintegrates and I'm left with the snake loofah that goes in the garbage. Bought a multi-pack this time so that I don't have to go to the store during Covid. So far, it feels like the store bought one- durable and not overly abrasive. My husband has had 2 reverse shoulder replacements, the latest being 5 weeks ago. He is limited as to how far he can move his arms right to left, and has trouble reaching under his arms with his hands. This long handled body puff is just what he needed to extend his ability to clean himself without help in the shower. The wooden handles are nicely finished and smooth. Bought these for myself (one to use and 3 in the closet when first wore out) but my young nephews saw them and each claimed a color for themselves. Strong smooth wooden handle is a good hold and feels right in hand and the dense/thick scrubby end is soft and not painful. These are great and should last a long time. Even kids dig them. Very pleased!!! Nice wooden curved handle makes them easy to use. VERY generous puff completely covers the end so it cannot scratch your back. They hang in the shower quite well. I have tried lots of different scrunchies on sticks but mainly plastic ones but I found I was replacing them often as the puff would come off the end, when I saw this pack of 4 I thought they seemed good value even if they only lasted a short while they would be worth it, but I have to say I’m still on my first one the quality is really good by now the puff would off come undone or snap off but this is brilliant I don’t no if it’s better because it’s on a wooden stick it’s stronger but I’m very pleased with my purchase I have to use these being disabled it enables me to be independent showering etc so I think I’ve found a winner with these very good value for money.
