I had bought a bike rack seat for my son to ride in back of me. That kit came with these footrests plus the seat for about $40. When the wood in that seat started rotting, I had to take it apart to replace the wood. Once I found out how simple it is, I made a second seat for my wife's bike. However, I couldn't figure out how to make foot rests, so I decided to purchase these. They took forever to get to my house, but now that I have them, they are great. I wish it came with hardware to install, but I suppose every bike is different. I had to get some washers and bolts to attach the footrests. I think they are supposed to go on the axle, but with an electric bike there are wires coming out of there and I didn't want to deal with it. So I mounted it where the rear rack attaches to the frame. Now my kids have a place to put their feet when we pack them to the beach. They are more comfortable, and I feel they are safer. Read more
