They changed the ingredients when they changed the bottle color. Used to be good not anymore. I didn't like the new formula at all different ingredients, different scent, doesn't lather not good. What I can say as an older professional person (i.e. 53 year entrepreneur) that prides himself on being very discerning as well as extremely gifted at instinctually connecting with the spirit of any person, is that it become crystal clear to me upon trying this amazing product, that the owners of Live Bearded, upon having carefully watched and analyzed their introduction videos, wherein they introduced and discussed their beard products and their passion for beards, and wanting there to be a true brotherhood between all bearded men, is that they appear to really mean it, and that they, as owners of a business, also appear to be vested totally in trying to improve the overall quality of life for the bearded man in creating and sharing this product with its consumers. I'm like totally new to the big beard world, or for me, what will probably only end up being the medium-sized, but very well-groomed beard world. I've had the ability all of my life, but now, at the age of 53, nearing 54, am I only now totally willing to become my most authentic, and thus be a proud bearded man. Hey, it takes some longer than others. That's just the way it is. But his brand and its entire line excites me. The product was well packaged, distributed very quickly, and then when I had the chance to use it, it certainly delivered. It smelled great, lathered up nicely and left my face and bearding feeling great. I look forward to trying other scents, but for now, after having spent hundreds of dollars in trying many other beard brand products in my first 60 days of beard growing, I can see myself thinking that I might have just found the Ross Royce, at least in my particular instance. And to top it off, I'm a black guy, straight from the city, and so I wasn't so sure that this product would work to my satisfaction. Well, to my surprise, so far so good. And again, I've tried at least one-half dozen other brands to date, and none of them have impressed me as much as this brand-Live Bearded. Original white bottles were great. When they changed to the new darker bottles the ingredients changed. New formula has a slightly different scent for Executive. Not necessarily a bad scent, a bit more of the “leather” than the original formula.The real issue is the stuff is watered down now, which means you go through it way faster. I noticed that the location on the old bottle was in Nevada and the new one was in Arizona. Could just be a relocation, but perhaps they sold out at this point? I've used live bearded for a while and this isn't it. I heard and read they changed their formulas and this was my first purchase from Amazon and first try at the new style. The beard wash is watery and I can't even hold it in my hands without it seeping over my fingers. It doesn't lather or completely coat all of my hair/beard without using an obscene amount. I dont know if this was the new mix causing this or if it's watered down to meet the supply and demand of Amazon orders. Read more

Truly an impeccable beard wash. I consider myself somewhat of a vet when it comes to oils and balms, but not with washes. I've tried many, and each and every company (save for one that I won't mention) have chemicals in it. Whereas this does not. A well produced and made in the USA product that's also ALL natural is hard to come by. Live Beardeds' wash has met and exceeded my expectations. A little goes a long way unless you have a 6" + beard at a minimum.I wrote a review for their beard butter. Truly amazing. I tried this beard wash, and compared to the brands I normally use, it's terrible. Completely dried my beard out and smelled nothing like the sandalwood scent it claimed to be. I disliked it so much that I actually threw it away. Will not buy this again. There are much better beard washes out there. Read more

I’m not too sure when Live Bearded changed formulas, but the most recent batch in the new packaging was marginal at best. The fragrance at one time was amazing and now it’s common. In fact, I can’t detect even a hint of vanilla. This isn’t a review of the other products, but I had the same issue with the beard butter and oil. Let me start by saying that I really liked the first batch I received of this product. It smelled really good, lathered nicely and left my beard feeling clean and refreshed.Unfortunately it seems they lack consistency from batch to batch. This new bottle has a totally different smell. It smells mostly of the cedar scent, while my first bottle was a more vanilla/leather mix. I also had this problem with their beard oil too. This wash is also a much thicker mixture than before and doesn't lather up overly well. I guess the only plus here is that I will use more each time to compensate and run out of it sooner. After that I will look for another brand that has more consistency from batch to batch. Read more
