I remembered that I used to use woven floss and how much I liked it. I did some searching and this was recommended. I did think that the floss would be woven, but it is not. That being said, it is quite efficient. The floss is kind of rubberband-like and it seems to have built-in scrubbers attached that I think gets the extra stuff that regular waxed floss misses. Although it is not woven, I do recommend this floss, as it works extremely well. I was looking for an alternative to Reach Woven Floss and this is the best I've found so far. I think it's the only viable alternative unfortunately, but it's pretty good relatively speaking.For years I had been using Reach Woven Floss, mint flavor. I bought a large quantity, maybe a 20 pack, years ago off Amazon. When I started running out, I noticed they changed the name to Listerine (for not apparent reason), and removed the Mint flavor. I was a little ticked off so I started shopping around, but nothing was quite the same in terms of comfort and thorough cleaning capability. So, I bit the bullet and bought some of the Listerine Cinnamon flavor and moved on.Then, they discontinued all woven floss, for no reason whatsoever. I suspect it was a patent issue, or a production cost issue, or perhaps some product manager just made a decision without talking to their customers. I looked for it on eBay and elsewhere and it's priced like gold - $20-30/package. Ridiculous. So, I started shopping around for alternatives. I tried quite a few of the "woven" flosses and they are all pretty terrible, and also expensive in many cases. I don't like the expandable floss, and the charcoal floss seems like a dumb idea to me, especially given the black residue it sometimes left in my mouth.I finally broke down and bought some of this, and it's reasonably decent. It doesn't tear easily, it's way better than just regular floss, it's infinitely better than the satin plastic stuff which in my opinion doesn't clean well at all. It will tear if you pull hard, but it's cheap and doesn't fray when it tears, so it's reasonable in that regard. It stretches, which I don't really care about, but it isn't annoying. The texture is better than straight plastic, which is very useful for cleaning.After thinking about it, the stretch is a nice touch only for the health of my fingers - it prevents a little bit of the blood flow cut that occurs in non-stretchy floss.I am giving it only 4 stars because of the product decisions of JNJ. Discontinuing Reach was not necessary. Discontinuing woven floss was not necessary, and created a black market of sorts for those who need it. Calling this Listerine is not necessary. Listerine in general is not necessary - read a little bit about the power of saliva, and how you don't get infections in open wounds in your mouth easily, and you'll realize you shouldn't be killing off microbes in your mouth with listerine (Gulp is a good book if you want to dig further into this).But, amongst all possible floss options that are still available for purchase, this is my favorite. Although it claims to clean 2 times better than the product it replaced, that bar was low. I tried this because they quit producing the woven floss that I liked. I found this floss to be stretchy and it seemed to slide over the tooth surface without really cleaning much. For those with tight spacing, this might be good. Although I never broke the woven floss while flossing, I broke this floss half way through my flossing sequence and I don't have tight spacing. Read more

As a hygienist, this is my absolute favorite floss. It is textured and stretchy. These two things help to pull more of the rotting food debris from between your teeth. If you aren’t a believer in just how much better this product is, I recommend that you floss with your regular waxed floss then immediately use this floss. I'm a daily flosser and this one is different. I've always been a fan of Glide's floss tape, but tried a sample of this brand as a freebie from my last dental appt. The floss has some stretch and while it's thin enough to get in the tight spaces, it seems to "scrub" the area I'm targeting the floss, which is great for my gums and teeth. New favorite! This is really tiny and I don't like the way it feels. I tried it due to it's claim of a better clean, but floss is only good if you use it and I hate using this stuff! I have a feeling it's much cheaper to make. I should have stuck with what I am used to, the Oral B Glide Comfort Plus floss.The Listerine floss has this wax that scrapes off when flossing and gets stuck between my teeth. Probably due to my permanent retainer I have on my lower teeth so if you have something like that I would stay away.Also it is not comfortable at all. Yeah, it will not break as easily, but it feels so rough against my gums compared to the Glide floss I am used to. This floss was recommended at the dentist which I normally hate the pushy crap at the dentist. Its stretchy which sounds odd but you have better grip. There's a greater ability to get all parts of your teeth without hurting your gums. It slides easily through tight spaces as well. Read more

I've got two back teeth that are really tight and most flosses break and pieces get stuck there. I've spent half an hour and many lengths of floss trying to get jammed floss from this spot.Listerine Ultraclean floss never gets stuck, though I floss in the most difficult areas first, then move to the easy areas. This floss is stretchy and not that strong and will break if worn out flossing on easy sections of your teeth then doing the tight teeth last. But...it never gets stuck to the point where you can't easily get it out. So if doing the tight teeth first, one length will last for an entire flossing session. Read more

The floss is elastic thus can make deep-clean between teeth gently. In addition, I love the cool mint scent of the floss. The only issue was that the initial segment of the floss was tangled but it was easily fixed. Read more
