I had used Schiff Move Free powder for my dogs for many many years but they stopped making it (not enough demand, so they say). This is the only powder form of chondroitin and glucosamine that I have been able to find yet so I looked up all the ingredients to find out if any were bad for or toxic to dogs. The answer was no. Ran it by me vet, also, by taking the jar in. She ok'd it. The only thing I wish was that it was unflavored (it sure smells "sweet"). (Oh. I buy people vs. dog because dogs take about half of a human dose, and the cost for a dog product is therefore, twice as much. I just got this product so I can't comment on it's effectiveness yet but what I do want to comment on is the fact that instructions say to use 1 scoop in 8oz of water/juice. I assumed the product would come with a scoop and yet there was no such item included so I was left wondering how much exactly was a scoop? Fortunately I have a kitchen scale which does grams so I weighed it out myself and it came out to about 1 1/2 tbsp. But shame on them for providing such vague instructions; makes me question the integrity of the product in general. Read more
