My daughter is 12, 5 feet tall and weighs 90 pounds. I ordered her the age 14 because I know these are supposed to fit snug but they also shrink and have a tendency to run a bit on the short side. They fit her perfect. I like that they are cotton and aren’t treated with chemical flame retardant. I have been purchasing this brand for many years. Would highly recommend. Read more

So far, we have purchased two sets of Leveret PJs on Amazon for toddlers aged 2 and 3 years, boy and girl. We also purchased on Amazon a set of PJs by Elowel at the same price of $12.99. But that was just the beginning. If interested, read on. (I'm leaving a review for the Elowel jammies, too.)Over the years, I have benefited from product reviews by other Amazon shoppers, but I rarely review products myself. Being busy is a challenge for many parents, so I won't use this as an excuse. Maybe I haven't felt like I could add much to a discussion that might be of value to another potential shopper. However, when it comes to buying PJs for babies and toddlers, I've recently acquired experience that I can now share. My toddler went though a major growth spurt -- all of a sudden, nothing fit! I ordered Elowel and Leveret PJs on Amazon and, while waiting for them to arrive, also ended up buying GAP (2 sets) and Petit Lem (1 set) jammies at local brick and mortar stores. On top of that, friends sent us some Hanna Andersson jammies (because it's their favorite brand). Now I have SIX sets of PJs to compare. All are labeled as the same size. All say they are 100% cotton. All are long legs, long sleeves. Here are my impressions...BEST: Hanna Andersson! Deliciously soft cotton, excellent quality, generous fit. The pattern is in the thread, not printed on top with synthetic inks. Washed/dried twice - once before wearing and once after. The jammies feel even better after being laundered. No pilling. I looked up the price online. They were on sale for $28 (reduced from $42). We love them and would appreciate receiving Hanna Andersson again as a gift, but I'm not sure we'd enjoy paying such prices.RUNNER UP: Baby Gap! Bought two sets of jammies from the sale rack, and received an additional 50% off at the register. In the end, one set cost $8.99 and one set cost $9.99. Once set has silky thin/light cotton; the other set has a thick/cushy cotton fabric. Soft fabric, nice workmanship, good fit, adorable styles. The pattern is in the thread, not printed on top with synthetic inks. Washed/dried twice - once before wearing and once after. No pilling in either set of PJs, and the heavier cotton got even thicker and softer feeling after the wash. The prices were better at the brick and mortar than the same jammies online, so I'll keep my eye out for sales and shop here again. (We stocked up on other Gap sale items - tops, bottoms, etc.)PLENTY GOOD ENOUGH: The Leveret PJs we are keeping. They cost $12.99 and we don't like them as much as the Baby Gap but they are close enough. The Leveret fabric is not as soft as Gap but feels okay; the constructions seems solid. The stripes are woven, not painted on. There is a weird rear seam in the pants that make it look like the diaper is always full, but this makes for more room in the bottoms. The sizing is a little more snug than Gap, but I have now purchased a second pair of Leverel PJs so they are plenty good enough. (I have also purchased a women's PJ set, which ran too large for the size.)NOT GOOD ENOUGH: Petit Lem PJs were purchased at Marshall's for $7 (retail $17). The fabric is thin, stiff, and a little rough. Pilled and got significantly smaller after the first wash; even more so after the second wash; printed design is cute but shows signs of breaking down and the seam on the cuffs is fraying. The 100% cotton turned out to apply ONLY to the ribbed cuffs. The rest of the fabric is actually 95% cotton and 5% poly. NOT true to size -- too small.NO, NO, NO: The Elowel PJs are being returned for a refund. They were purchased for $12.99, same as the Leveret set that we are keeping. The fabric says 100% cotton but it is very stiff, rough, and crunchy. It does not feel like cotton, certainly not like good cotton. And the sizing runs waaay too small. The stripes on the bottoms are printed/painted on. The waistband is a piece of elastic that is not covered by fabric. The top of size 3T Elowel is SHORTER than the top of size 2T Leveret PJs and the legs and sleeves are identical in length. The pant legs are very narrow. To be fair, the top seems a little nicer quality than the bottoms, which feel terrible. Would not buy again or recommend Elowel to others. I am truly puzzled by the positive reviews received by Elowel. Best case scenario is Elowel is an inconsistent brand with inconsistent quality. Read more

These pajamas are clearly used. No tags or shipping information. They have animal hair on them, the material is torn on the cuff of a sleeve as well as the knees and a there is a stain on the rear end. Absolutely unacceptable. Read more

I bought matching striped jammies for my 2-year-old and my 8-year-old. The 8-year-olds pjs are like a size 6 after washing and drying. (I thought they were sized correctly when I compared them to my daughter’s other pjs, so I’m not sure if they shrank or if I measured them incorrectly.) The size 3 pjs I bought for my 2-year-old are so ridiculously small, I can only come to the conclusion that they were mislabeled when they were manufactured. They look more like size 24m pjs. I am attaching photos of these as evidence, comparing them to another brand of size 3 pjs. Now I'm in the weird position of trying to decide whether to reorder the pjs in the same size, hoping they will be sized correctly, or ordering the next size up or even two sizes up. The fabric is so soft, I wanted them to work out, but I think I’m going to opt for a different brand. Read more

I was a bit pessimistic when I got theses pjs bc I was sure they were going to shrink after washing them. So I washed them but didn’t put them in the dryer-they came out looking great! I had ordered a size up so they looked slightly big on my almost 3 yr old and I was happy the would last him for awhile. Then the second time he wore them I forgot to line dry and threw them in the dryer and they shrank so much! They are now shorter than his 3t pjs from Gymboree. What a waste-he might get one more wearing if I’m lucky. Two stars just bc I think they wouldn’t have shrank if I didn’t put them in the dryer. But who can remember that all the time? Read more

I loved the PJs and bought 3 pairs, one for each of my kids and gave them to my kids for Christmas. However after washing them they all three showed brown stains as if my kids had a mud fight before hand. I think the fabric must have a problem. They did not get messy like this before I washed them. But the brown is all over the shirts. The pants are completely fine, no stains at all. Really not sure. Other wise the material and design are great. My kids love having penguin pjs. I'm just disappointed that they are so stained after 1 or 2 wears. I even tried spraying them and soaking them. No better. Read more

These are a really cute print and the size was about right for what my kiddo wears in other pajamas. He wears a 5/6 in most clothes and we got a size 8 in these. They fit well not too big. They seem to be okay quality. My only concern is that the first time he wore them, when his legs were bent at all I could see white in between the material of the pajamas. They are blue, so it was like the blue was only printed on the outside of the pajamas and as soon as the fabric is stretched or twisted at all, the unprinted part shows. Maybe this is more common than I have noticed, and only because the pajamas are a dark color it caught my eye now? Not sure... but I hope it doesn’t mean they will fade or stretch out quickly. Likes, soft cotton no labels so good for sensitive skins, good range of colours. Fingers crossed they will wash and dry well.Dislikes; these come up really small, the 14 year old size just fits my shorter than average 11 year old; legs are fine but the top needed to be longer, sleeves are just about right. Luckily my youngest can wear the ones ordered for youngest and will wear the smaller ones in the summer as long shorts.Would have liked to be able to order more than one pair of each colour at the same time, I had to do several orders to get multiple sets to suit our needs. At least my very picky youngest now has ew pyjamas that he will wear in enough quantity to have them washed. (Any one with an autistic child will get this.) Read more
