Along with it only going to number 5, it is very flimsy and thin page wise. I’m not sure cleaning wise how it would hold up past just wiping it with a cloth for pieces of food or snack on it, there is like 2 of the 4 pages that have ‘teething’ support. I think for a few dollars more you can get whole sets on here for more value for your buck. I purchased cus I thought it would be cute as an iconic story. When I first purchased this item, I thought it was a total rip off. For $7 this "book" only has 3 total pages, and that's including the front and back cover. I had half a mind to return it but then promptly went on to forget all about it because as it is life with a newborn, one thing rolls into another and you never stop being busy. However, when my little one turned 3 months old, he became pretty grabby with his hands and loves to spend time under his infant activities play gym. I started to change up his toys that dangle from the gym for variety and one day I threw on this book and it instantly became by far, his most favorite item. My baby loves tearing at the pages and the crinkle sounds. The pages are nice and thick for his little hands and this is the only toy that keeps his attention for more than 20 minutes at a time.This is one of those items that keeps reminding me that just because I don't like a particular toy for whatever reason, it doesn't mean my baby won't love it for his own reasons.Knocking off a star for the uber cheap polyester fabric and crappy clip-on. However, if you are considering this toy for an infant, I'd say get it.edit- apparently my now 4 months old is strong enough to rip the clip right off the book, tearing the fabric and all. Read more

My little girl has loved this book since she was two months old and now at three months she can finally hold it on her own and play! I bought this book in anticipation of her teething stage. Since she's been fascinated with putting her hands in her mouth I wanted something cute and safe for her to enjoy. This is the only toy she had at two months that was light enough for her to kind of handle on her own. The crinkle pages made her want to hold and play with it, which jump started her being able to grasp things really well with her hands. She'd sit and flip the pages back and forth and just smile at the noises. Now, she can kind of pull it into her mouth a bit and chew on it. I wash EVERYTHING the moment it arrives, and this washed fine in the washing machine. The squeaker still works great and no signs of wear from washing it. I air dried it. She loves the little leaf on one of the pages and tries to gnaw on it. Each page has some kind of neat texture to it for a baby to feel. Everything about this little book is just perfect for a young baby who is learning to grasp and or teething. Read more

People on here are expecting way to much for $5 on Amazon & don’t seem to read descriptions. A good car seat toy to go with the others and just a great sensory (as each page has different textured fabrics) & teething toy. as soon as I gave it to her she started kicking her legs and flaring the book everywhere & rubbing the book in her face while making all types of breathing noises and funny sounds lol. She loves the noises it makes and gets excited when I make the squeaky noise. She gets very excited whenever she sees it as well😂😂 I recommend. It’s cheap and it’s efficient for a young baby. Duh it isn’t a real book but it has enough teachable things on it. Before I let her play with it i go thru each page and tell her the colors numbers and objects on there and she follows my fingers so I think she’s soaking in enough. My biggest issue with this book is that it only has one page. So including the cover, there are three flaps. $7 is a bit high for what you get.On the plus side, it has a cute little plum leaf that lifts up to reveal the caterpillar. Also, the apple and pear are textured differently. The back flap has a squeaker, and the front has a teething corner.I bought this thinking my then 4-month-old daughter would love the crinkly pages, the teething corner, the bright colors, but she's just not into it. She likes books, she likes crinkly toys, she likes colors, but for whatever reason, not this. Even now at 7 months, she throws it down almost as soon as I hand it to her. Was bought as a gift. I think it was bought more for my nostalgia than baby's joy. Baby has so far ignored it as I think at this early stage they dont mind what you buy them. But mum loved it and it brought fond memories for me! Read more
