When I first bought this product it was for the ketoconazole ingredient. It smelled great and my hair was dandruff free.... I bought it again and they removed this and other ingredients and didn't even change the product name. You can't do that to your consumers!! Never buying again Read more

Last September, I talked to my dermatologist about my hair getting thinner to the touch (I've never had an issue with shedding). He suggested I buy the six-month supply of Kirkland Signature Men's Minoxidil 5% Foam at Costco ($50). I used it for three months every day and hated how my hair looked on the days I did not wash my hair. I realize results can take six months+. However, I did not like how my hair looked and did not see any results, so I stopped using it. I shampooed my hair with Nexxus Therapy and Keraphix conditioner.This past September, my hairdresser mentioned my thinner hair and I had noticed it to. Still, I really didn't have any shedding. So, the loss was very slow. So, I after researching and reading reviews, I decided to buy L'emarie. I started using the shampoo and conditioner 09/23 AND restarted the 5% Minoxidil (Kirkland Signature brand) at the same time. I ONLY used the minoxidil on shampoo days. So, I was NOT applying it daily. Well, it's 11/01 and I've been shedding like a sheep dog since. I hung in there thinking the shedding is part of the process, but it's been a month now. So, I stopped using the shampoo AND the minoxidil.I'm hoping it's the minoxidil that is the issue because it's a pain to use and I really like the shampoo and conditioner. It smells nice and left my hair clean without being dried out. Once the shedding subsides (crossing fingers), I am going to retry the shampoo/conditioner WITHOUT minoxidil to see if my issue was just the minoxidil.My initial rating is 3 stars, simply because I'm not sure what's going on. I plan to provide an update and will adjust the rating accordingly. I hope this will help others.UPDATE: On 11/02/2020 I purchased Biolage VolumeBloom Shampoo and Conditioner. It's 11/13/2020 and I've used it four times. I'm happy to report, I notice a significant improvement in hair retention. Plus, I found a new shampoo and conditioner I really like. I will continue to use this until I'm sure my hair loss is more 'normal'. Read more
After trying Nioxin, Revita and Wick & Strom I was about to give on hair loss shampoos. However, L'emarie seems to be working for me. It hasn't eliminated the thinning spots but I have more hair growing in those spots than before. This is the first shampoo I've tried with 1% ketoconazole. I'm not sure if that's the difference or if any of the other ingredients matter as well.EDIT: As other more recent reviews have indicated, the "new formula" no longer contains ketoconazole. Read more
The shampoo works very well, however the condition IS AWFUL! The conditioner odor in intense and made both me and my husband sick! Cannot use. Buy the shampoo only. I used a different conditioner and my hair and scalp in repair and reducing hair loss. Would like 1/2 the cost to be reimbursed due to the conditioner is junk. Read more

I have been using this for a few years now. I have tried many shampoos over the years, but this one has been the best match for my hair and scalp. My scalp has seemed healthier ever since I began using this product and I also like the way it leaves my hair (neither too oily nor too stripped of oil). I wish it were less expensive, but it works so well for me that I keep buying it. I never noticed any "intensive hair growth" as it states on the label, but that is not really why I buy it. Read more
