Reasonable quantity for the price, and it's nice to get a de-oiled version (I have to watch my fat intake due to a health issue). As for why you might want this, it is very high in choline, part of the B vitamins complex, and very good for your brain. This mixes well in heath shakes with protein powder, etc. I also add some to indulgent chocolate shakes I make with cocoa powder, low-fat milk, and a mix of sugar-free sweeteners. It does not strongly affect the taste, and to the extent it's detectible, it's good and nutty anyway. Amazon itself is now peddling its own de-oiled sunflower lecithin powder (larger quantity for lower price), but who knows where that came from and under what conditions, or how long ago. Lekithos has a reputation for quality, and I've been using theirs for several years, so will probably stick with it. Read more

This product clumps and tastes horrible. Buyer beware! The company also sells this as sunflower granules on their website, but if you order the granules only the clumpy powder will continue to come. They don't have the granules anymore, but still say they do so they can send you their not very fresh powder. I will never order from them again and you shouldn't too. They are a misleading company. I love to add the lecithin powder to my smoothies. It mixes well and the taste is good. The product arrived in excellent condition. I used all the lecithin from my first jar and I am waiting for my second order to arrive. As long as the quality of this product remains as it is now, I will continue to buy. Excellent! Read more
