This combination is incredible. The gel is definitely the secret, but the other secret is to soak your feet in very warm water with a good foot soak product prior to use. I used lavender bath salts and soaked longer than suggested. When you the use the rasp prior to the gel, just as the directions say, you’ll be astounded and frankly, embarrassed, as to how much dead skin slugs off. Just be careful!! The rasp will remove the skin to the bone if you allow it. Respect is key; the rasp works, but it must be respected.Then you rub the gel on ONLY THE ROUGH PARTS, more is not more here. OK so first let me start the stage. The bottom of my feet are the part of my body and I’m probably the most conscious of. I get pedicures often with callus remover just to try to minimize how dry and flaky they look especially in the summertime. My husband often times jokes not to cut him in the middle of the night with my dry feet. Please note that I read all the directions and followed them to the T especially after reading everyone else’s review. I could not believe how great this work and I left it on for the minimal time recommended which was three minutes. Attached is a photo of all the dry skin that I took off of 1 foot. I used to walk barefoot a lot an developed really thick callouses on my feet. I've tried other products such as ones containing urea and ones with salicylic acid and they just don't do much for me. I purchased the kit with the callous remover, rasp, and gloves. I followed the directions, soaked my feet first, applied the callous removed, and used the rasp. This was very effective and thoroughly removed all of the hardened skin on my feet with minimal effort. since I was new to this product I erred on the side of caution and only left it on for 4-5 minute. The product itself is a gel, so I did not need much. The bottle should last a long time with how little is needed. Definitely use gloves, the active ingredient is potassium hydroxide, which is closely related to lye, meaning it is caustic. Read more

The gel and rasp work GREAT! With winter hitting, I was starting to get some bad cracks on my heals, and after a couple uses this has my feet looking and feeling almost good as new.I was a little worried at first to try it, since some of the other reviews make it sound super dangerous, but just use gloves (only 1 pair is included, so you definitely need to buy more) when applying and wash with a liberal amount of soap and water - no skin burns, no cuts from the rasp, etc. I only left it on for the minimum time (3 min) and it did a fine job.Just read the directions, don't put the gel on non-callused skin, don't press too hard with the rasp, and stop using the rasp before the skin starts to feel uncomfortable with the pressure.The rasp even works really well by itself, just to keep up with my heals being smooth in between uses with the gel. Love this product! Easy to use, no mess gel, and works great!! The photo is after 1 use (before/after). Took off a bunch of dead skin easily. I used a silicone basting brush to apply the product and wrapped my foot in a towel, then used an Angel foot file (expensive but worth it!). Read more

No doubt this will remove your calluses, but please be careful! The foot file is basically a cheese grater. I was so amazed with the amount of dead skin that was easily being removed that I hit a section on my foot that was not callused and got a REALLY bad cut! This is no fault to the product as it states clearly on the bottle to apply only to calluses. The second time I used it, I applied the gel and then used a pumice stone to remove the calluses. Of course it did not remove as much dead skin as the file, but I survived without any painful cuts and my feet were much softer! Read more
