The display portion is made of acrylic and then a decal is imprinted on the back, however the decal is not sealed in the back and feels kind of sticky. I'm afraid it may scratch in the long run, so I may try to find some kind of sealant to protect it. It would have been better if the decal was sandwiched between two pieces of acrylic. The solar system ones are beautiful as pictured and you get TWO in a package. Shipping is from China so expect to wait about a month for shipping. I bought 2 of these nightlights - started using them in December 2018. So they’ve been in use for just over a year. The design is very cute and it’s functional as it plugs into an outlet. However I’m glad I waited to review these. I can’t use them any longer in my daughter’s room and bathroom as the light on each is so dim it makes navigating in the dark an impossibility. The lights didn’t start out that way and used to be a more appropriate level of brightness. If it were just the one light I’d think it was a one-off. It’s both lights in 2 different rooms. While I liked the lights at first, they no longer work so I wouldn’t recommend. Read more

I could not be more happy with this product. It is great quality and so cute in person! My 5 year old daughter absolutely loved it and couldn’t wait to use it. We really like the two lights that we ordered. We were not happy with the packaging as the box that it was delivered in looked like it was re-packaged before sending and it looks as if someone stepped on the package and broke one of the light units. Two of the three mounting screws were broken and unable to re-attach. I was able to tighten the one screw and it works fine. I didn't want to go through the hassle of sending it back to the sender. This night light is super cute and durable, but the light is a little too bright for what we were looking for. We wanted a soft light to illuminate our 2 year old daughter's room at night. Guess I should have figured that the LED light would be a bit much. I do like that it has a sensor so it automatically turns on when you need it.I gave 5 stars because it really is a good night light, just not what we are looking for. Overall I'm pleased with this nightlight. The light sensor seems to work well. The picture is pretty, although because the glass/plastic it's adhered to is frosted the image doesn't look quite as crisp and bright as it does on the amazon website. I would prefer a more warm tone to the light, but it gives out a good amount of light so there's no need to turn on the bathroom light in the middle of the night. Read more

Upon taking them out of the box, we found that the casing on both units had broken off completely. The box and package it was delivered in were perfectly fine. We will get a replacement and hopefully the future lights will be in better shape.Update: Nope! Recieved a replacement a few days later. One of the lights was broken in the same manner but the other one was not. I will be returning and buying a different brand.I found what the problem is. The board on the inside is not secured to the inside of the case. Thus when when pressure is applied to plug contacts, it is essentially pushing the back half of the casing and popping it off.
