This is a great learning toy for toddlers to learn their colors, numbers, and sizes.Pros:- Great size for small hands- Awesome for playing while learning- They’re durable and can withstand being tossed around and shaken in their container.- There are no holes, so these can be used in water play safely without worry about mold collecting inside.Cons:- The number “2” was missing from the orange turtle we received. We’ll need to use a whiteout marker to write the number “2” on the turtle.Non-Impactful:- The label was applied upside down on the container we received. This didn’t take away from play as the missing number 2 has, but it was worth mentioning. Read more
I am so glad I found these. I was on the hunt for some educational toys that encourage fine motor skill development and think these are achieving just that for my kiddo so far. She calls them "Daddy Turtle" and "Baby Turtle" and nests the babies into the daddies' shells, working her little fingers to close them and open them. There's a nice kind of click sound/feel to know that the daddy shell is closed/opened. The colors are great for sorting and matching, the numbers on the Baby turtle shells corresponding the the number of shapes on the Daddy shells are a nice start to counting and number recognition. These are super cute. Got them for my 18 month old. Only down side to them is I noticed the paint is chipping/easily scratched. (We got them at Christmas and it's only March)It could have been her doing it intentionally because she is a bruiser and enjoys ruffing stuff up at times or it could be poor quality. It doesn't bother me enough to give it 1 star and I would buy them again. Love the storage container with handle on the lid they come in. Read more
Ordered for my 2 year old nephew and they come apart fairly easily but he struggles with them and gets frustrated.I find the plastic a bit hard and am honestly surprised he hasn't broken off pieces of them yet.I'll just say I don't think it's his favorite toy, and I've gotten him similar toys which are far superior in quality to this toy. Color, fun and teaches wonderful stacking skills. My only complaint is that they do not stay together well once the child puts the baby turtle into the momma turtle. They really need to snap together better as the baby gets frustrated putting it back together (or having me do it ). But I wll say, my 18 mos old grandbaby now says "turtle". And the twins love the bucket container with a handle. And I love that it twists and stays on. Read more
Not exactly what I was expecting. They are a hard plastic instead of the softer plastic. Too hard for the younger little ones and too easy for older toddlers. Read more
"Learn to count" and yet the blue baby turtle that should have the number 4 on it is completely blank! Maybe they should learn to count! My daughter is in love with the turtles or I would send back for a replacement. Cute toy otherwise, though difficult to snap the backs on/off for a 23 month old. Read more
These turtles are really such a great purchase, the only thing I really wish is that the back shell would clip or snap onto the turtles body. It kind of just sits there and when my 2 year old goes to pick it up it falls apart. She still loves playing with them, especially the baby turtles. Read more
My grandaughter plays with these constantly. She started off just playing with them, then started matching the colours then progressed to the numbers. A good learning resource. Read more
