This is perfect for our homeschool classroom except they only give you four of the yellow rectangles. I would have gladly paid a dollar or two more and gotten 10 rectangles, that way we could count by fives and have one for each number. But it is still helpful for learning to skip count even if I have to move the rectangles as we go. I also like how the even and odd numbers are different colors.Concerning the size of it, it is not a perfect fit for a whiteboard unless you are OK with making two rows out of it and having a little hang off the sides too. We had it set up like that for a while but then I finally just taped it to the wall with duct tape, and I like that much better. This is a good size for our homeschool room, but it might be too small for a regular classroom where kids need to see it from a greater distance. It is much smaller than the alphabet line that you would hang above a chalkboard. Each section with five numbers on it is 2.5 inches tall by 9.5 inches long. There are 10 sections. Read more
I got this set to make learning math more exciting at home. After learning to count to 100, the next level got more complex and so having something new and different was a must. This magnetic set had a lot of features that I like.1. They come in strips of 5. This is great as I can arrange them how I please. I also have the ability to take out sections I want to focus on.2. The numbers are nice and large and color coded. The large numbers make it easy for the kids to read while the red and blue patterns make it easy for the skids to differentiate between the numbers.3. The yellow squares stick to the magnet. This is by far one of my favorite features. It lets the kids have a starting and ending point. They can really see and feel the example they are working on without having to get lost or start over.Overall I am very happy with this number line. It is one of those products that will last through many skills while making easier and fun. Read more
This number line is perfect! I teach kindergarten and it is exactly what I needed to go on my whiteboard. I love that it comes in easy to use segements. The frames are great for showcasing a number, or set of numbers. I only used the numbers from 1-30 since that is where most of our math work falls. We use the 100 chart if we need a bigger number. I would recommend this product if you need a number line that is easy to remove and put back up on your whiteboard. Read more
This number line would be perfect if it would adhere to the white board. The magnet is very weak and it will not stay up; therefore it is useless. Very disappointed! Read more
First it is smaller than I expected. It is not really big enough to do whole class instruction. However, the size is not the major problem. It does not have a zero. You have to draw a zero so that you can use it for step math. Read more
I wish that there was a little more space between numbers. I also wish that the color pattern marked 5s and 10s rather than alternating colors. This is the only white board magnetic number line that I could find, so I am thankful for it! Read more
My white board isn''t long enough to use this in one line. For 1st grade, doing a second row isn't as easy for them to understand. I like the concept but it is just too long for me. Read more
Wonderful product. I needed a small number line to use in my classroom and this is perfect. I love the frames that can highlight a certain number. Read more
