I'm 65. I purchased this product about 10 yrs. ago and wasn't impressed. I mean, it didn't do anything for me. Yes, my makeup glided on smoother and I didn't seem to need as much...but it was one more step in my makeup ritual that wasn't absolutely necessary. Plus, it was one more layer of product build-up on my face. I dunno, maybe I was applying too much...too heavily, but I don't think so. Anyway, now it's 10 yrs. later and the texture of my face has changed. I have fine lines, especially around my eyes, and my make-up...especially my eye makeup, isn't staying in place or even lasting very long before needing to touch it up. Aging is the pits!!!! So here we go again..giving this another whirl. And OMG... Either the product has changed or "I've" changed, because this stuff is amazing (I really hate that word..it's so overused, don't'cha think?). Anyway, I apply a small dab (less than a pea size dab) on each side of my face and smooth it on evenly, concentrating more around my eyes and lips ...and then let it dry. Sometimes I use a small brush, sometimes I just use my fingers. Then I proceed with the steps of applying concealer, "setting" it with a very fine mineral veil...then liquid makeup etc...and everything glides on wonderfully and stays in place. All day! My lip color doesn't feather or bleed, and my concealer doesn't settle or puddle in the fine lines around my eyes. It stays even and smooth. This Primer has made a believer outta me. Read more

I'm so disappointed. This product comes out sheer and goes on sticky. Not good value for the money. Did nothing for my skin. I have used Laura's spackles for years. This is the second one of her new so called improved line that I've wasted money on. All of her original spackles s were sheer and skin transforming. All have been discontinued! I could cry. Now I have to shop all other brands and waste more money. Read more

I love this stuff! I am often at home and like to have something on my face without wearing full makeup/foundation, it offers a sheer tint. I have even worn it out to the store and it hides imperfections. It smooths my skin ( normal, aging skin) and keeps away the shine. I only wish it had sunscreen so I didn’t have to add that when outdoors. It’s a large tube but I still think the price is a bit high and I even got it on sale. I use a small amount so I think it will last awhile. I will probably buy again unless I find a cheaper similar product. I've been using a primer under my make up ever since they came out it seems. I love Laura Geller's products. As far as I am concern, this product does not contain any tint to the Spackle. It prepares your face so that your makeup looks even. The Spackle is applied lightly, as little as one drop after applying moisturizer. Its consistency is very light, and folks with allergies, no worries, it barely has a scent. You wont even know you have it on once it is applied. This product, together with Laura Geller's double baked powder foundation, your face appears flawless. Read more

This made my skin as flawless as it could be for 65. I was actually surprised-- while at the salon, the girl washing my hair said "you have beautiful skin". I was especially surprised because you know how cruel and unforgiving those salon lights can be! In addition, this was a very generous tube. Great value for the money. Will buy this again. Read more

I've been looking for a primer that was smooth and soft upon application and also after it dries. This fits that requirement perfectly. I've been using Mary Kay primer which I love, but the difference it quite dramatic. Mary Kay is a good product, but this primer is much much better. Would recommend to anyone. Read more

This is the BEST primer!! I am still in shock how well it works. I have tried pretty much every primer and I was NEVER satisfied. This primer works magic. I have crazy skin (sometimes oily...sometimes dry) and acne scarring. This primer makes my makeup look amazing. I wear it with Youngblood mineral foundation. Read more

I am not new to Laura Geller, having bought her products in the past, but this was my first primer experience, and it doesn't disappoint. Used sparingly on the more porous areas of the face, you end up with an incredibly smooth, flawless finish, which lasts all day and into the night. Apparently Spackle in the US is a type of polyfiller...I certainly need a bit of that on my ageing skin! Read more

I really wasn't impressed with this: and have reverted to using my good old faithful bobby brown.I was disappointed as I had heard so many good things about this. I felt like I could really see it on my skin, and rather than making my skin look silky my foundation just 'sat' on top of it. It was really obvious I was wearing make up. I also found my skin dried really quickly with this on: and even with exfoliation and moisturisers it still managed to stick to dry skin (which otherwise wasn't even apparent). Read more

Love this! Brightens the complexion and is great under makeup or even alone. Having never bothered with a makeup primer before, I can now see what all the fuss is about as this really does make a difference to the staying power of your makeup.I know when I bought this there were two different colour options and it was a stab in the dark as to which to choose. I really like this primer. It is quite expensive but is a nice smooth base. I don't feel it is amazing, but I like it as much as clarins beauty flash balm. With clarins I always feel I have to hurry up and get the base on quick before it starts drying and gets crumbly. No issues like that with this primer. Very user friendly. Read more

This product does nothing. Leaves no trace of colour or correction. Does not give a good base at all!It also smells awful like cheap old fashioned moisturisers full of chemicals. I use other LG products but this is waste of money. Read more
